These are tips for single women looking to find a good man in 2009 and traits to look for I found this article online ; he may just be someone around the corner or someone you have overlooked .....

Brenda hope you read this: I thought about you when I found this article since you will be getting back into dating "game
  1. "Style: The complete absence of swagger or "game".  Guys with swagger are trying to project an image. That means that they care too much about what other people think. Avoid them like the plague. aka not a playa but geekish unless you enjoy sharing your man...LOL.
  2. Line of work: He is an engineer, systems analyst, lab technician, middle-manager, mechanic, union worker, researcher, graphic designer, college professor, accountant or something else that involves well-paid drone status. Avoid any man with a glamorous career like lawyer, doctor, corporate executive, etc. Self-employed men are “iffy” and have to be evaluated case-by-case.
  3. Looks: He is good-looking but your girlfriends would describe him as “cute” rather than “sexy” or “hot”. He may actually be completely gorgeous but without the swagger nobody notices.
  4. Dating life: He does not “date around” and is looking for a serious relationship. He has not been on a date in a while (maybe a long while, maybe even years), not because he “can’t get any” but because he is picky and the behaviour of most women turns him off. He is usually too reserved or shy to ask women out.
  5. What he likes about you: He is attracted to your intelligence and personality and spends hours talking to you.
  6. What he likes to do in his free time: He is into computers or computer games. He likes to read or watch non-fiction and science fiction. Trekkies and guys into Japanese animation are a good bet. He has a geeky hobby like programming robots or remodelling old cars. He has circuit boards on his desk at home.
  7. His manner: He is a bit socially awkward. He is not very good at hiding his emotions and his face is pretty much an open book. He does not brag and his rare compliments are spontaneous and almost involuntary, but sincere.
  8. Religion: He believes in God but is not very religious. He will attend church with you but probably would not go regularly on his own.
  9. Intelligence: He is highly intelligent. Some of these guys are have an IQ above 125 – although their scores tend to be skewed towards the non-verbal end which is probably one of their problems in developing “game”.
Basically, he is one of those guys you passed over in high school because he was not cool enough.
They are independent minded and do not care what others think of them. They want a woman who is  interesting, intelligent, healthy, and pretty, and do not care much about race, ethnicity or hair colour.

They do not chase you – at first. These are the more reserved men. You have to take the first – and sometimes the second and, frustratingly, the third – step. Once you have their complete and utter attention the chase begins. Some of these guys are very slow to catch on, though.

Have a great day

GM Naomi,

Where, oh where did you get this article from? I know you said you got it from the internet, but some of this advice is off.

1. Style - Swagger is sexy as hell! *IMHO* it shows confidence and did I mention it was sexy as hell? It's not all about clothes or an "image". It's about a state of mind.

2. Line of Work - In this economy, just let him be gainfully employed.

3. Looks - Eye of the beholder.

4. Dating Life - *I* prefer for the guy to be dated and *****d out. I want him to have done it, been there and is ready to do it all with me.

5. What He Likes About You - I agree, but hours? My Folks have been happily married for 55 years and they can be at home with each other all day and sometimes the only words that my Moms will say is "Dinner is ready" and my Pops "Dinner sure was good". It's not about the quantity...it's about the quality.

6. What He Likes to Do in His Free Time - As long as it doesn't involve small animals or other women, he can do whatever he wants. I can sit  in front of the TV all day and do NOTHING...does that make me a bad catch?

7. His Manner - Social butterflies need only apply here. I'm very outgoing and *I* need someone who is equal.

8. Religion - Has to be on the same page..,must be equally yolked.

I have to add more later. I'm tending to a sick kid today, but I will pipe in later.

You are so silly! He has a cold so he gets to stay at home with me today.

He received the live H1N1 nose huff last week. I am going to call his doc shortly to see if there is a direct relationship. His school provided it for free so I have to dig for the literature that came before/after the huff.

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Well the nasal one is a live virus. Hope he hasn't come down with the flu.

When the school sent home the approval letter, it stated that the choice of dead/live would be random. So when he came home and told me that he got nasal spray I was really nervous. As of today, he just has a cough and nasal congestion. No signs of fever or throwing up.

I agree with @ 1. Style - Swagger is sexy as hell! *IMHO* it shows confidence and did I mention it was sexy as hell? It's not all about clothes or an "image". It's about a state of mind....BUT I degress some of these ninjas have TOO MUCH swagga...as long as they are neat and clean, iron shirts and jeans etc...that's enough swagga for me.

I think what the article is saying is if women are looking for that extremely handsome guy that looks tight in his jeans and drives an expensive car...hang out with the guys and do "cool" things ...and snag different women DAILY...and if a women think she can "change him" to be a "GOOD husband" then she will be "waiting in line with many other women a long time".
