OT: Not Trying To Mess Up The Love But I Need To Rant
Today is a beautiful day in the BAF neighborhood and I feel the love but I have a rant to get off of my chest that has nothing to do with weightloss or BAF so I put OT in the title.
Ok, I mentioned on a post when someone was asking about natural hair help that I had been reading a group on FB. Well I asked a question to the sistas with natural hair about my dry hair and dry, flaky, itchy scalp. I get some responses and they were nice and one person even told me to look up a certain person that probably has the "type" of hair I have.
Ok, I ask this person via message about my dilemma and let her know that I've been natural for 14 yrs but I still haven't found a "holy grail" of products to wear my curls down with them frizzing anf poofing. She wanted to know my routine and what products I use. Now I don't use any shampoos with sodium laureyl sulphate or anything with silicones in it.
Well.....she writes me back and tells me that my products are all wrong because of the ingredients and I'm ruining my hair by flat ironing it. I told her the pics of me on fb are of my hair flat ironed because I take pics when my hair is like that because my curl pattern is not great yet and I only gets my hair done once every 2 months. She writes me back and says 1 time causes damage that can't be repaired !!!! OK. Well I look up the products she suggested and I see on this website that you can get points for referring someone there and the regimine for my hair would cost $108 and I don't work !!!!!
This bothered me and I don't know why. I asked for help, she gave it to me but I guess it was the overtones of it was NOT ok for me to straighten my hair. I'm grown and this is my hair but I still don't have control over this rat's nest. Ok it's off of my chest and my hair is still dry and my scalp is still dry, itchy and flaky. Whooooosaaaaaaah

Rita as you know I am natural all my life and after trying a million products BAF recommended I found something that is working great for me.
I will give you info on bl, when I get home. Don't let me forget.
I have found those chicks on the hair forums to be rude at times, some are ok, but like you I had a few tell me I was screwing my hair up, but my hair is 10 times their length. Go figure

Yeah they are very protective of their family and not friendly at all. I asked about a product and was freaking cussed out for not using "pure" ingredients.
I was thinking dam I must have done something right, but they don't play.
Did you post a pic of your hair over there?
They actually have great advice you just have to get "in."
