Hey Sable,

The senna tea i use is in preforated tea bags.  The brand is called Alvita.  You can find at any healthfood store & should be at any of the big discount retailers like walmart, target.... 

The tea needs to be steeped for about 3-5 minutes.  It generally works on me the next day, but the stronger the tea, the better your bm.  I wouldn't take that more than 3 times a week.



The probiotics, ive used several, but can't remember any of the names right now except for sustenex.  Right now I'm taking cvs brand because it was on sale, as probiotics is expensive. I believe it's 25 million cfu's minimum that you want to take in one dose & you may need to take it a couple of times a day.

Hey DSTgirl! 

I am so glad that I popped my head into this post....I could not help but crack (no pun intended) a smile at this post. Not happy about what you are going through...but so needed something...anything to elevate my mood a little after the horrible incident with that missing child. I am still feeling it....but you helped take the edge off.

As for your little or perhaps "big" delimma hehehe....I would suggest that you take Flaxseed Oil as a part of your daily regimen. I am on iron suppiments and the Flaxseed keeps me regular. Some I know...get the seeds and grind up...I have heard....but the oil pill work for me.

Hi Mahogany!  I also have a heavy heart to learn that Shaniya was murdered, but I had an uneasy feeling about it the entire weekend.  Her mother should be held totally accountable for allowing this to happen to her child.  She was so beautiful too.

On the other side............laughter is good!  You have to find a little humor in your day.  Though this constant constipation is no joke.  I am going straight to pick up me some Flaxseed today.  Thanks for the info!

YW....please do all you can to get the H2O in as well......even if you do 40oz straight H2O and add Crystal Light to 40oz...you would be doing excellent!

 I too am a victim of IBS going maybe 2x's a week but I have found that when I get my liquids in I am going 2 and sometime 3 x's a day and when I use to be very constipated not when the liquids are in.

So i suggest trying to drink your water flavor it if u have to but get it in.

Other reasons for getting in ur water are it helps with dry skin and dandruff.

 Hey dstgirl2000 ,

I am in the same boat, except I had the RNY 06/18/07 and have never been regular either. But here recently I have been EXTREMELY gassy and cant pass it and need to desperatley have a bowel movement.

So, I went and got me Prilosec OTC, Chewable Rolaids, and Chewable GasX. I sure hope they help me. I feel a little relieved at this point but I know I am not back to myself yet.

I hope the best for you and your situation.
