While I live and work in Illinois, my compani\y's home base is in Alabama, and umm I hate to break it to you-"Obesity related treatments and services are an excluded benefit." Unless you employer has opted to cover WLS you might be SOL.
I have already been approved by my insurance company (BCBSAL) for the surgery. It is considered medically necessary. I am now just doing everything that is required under my policy to get approved for a date. Thank you....

Well good luck! My company sucks-you would think working in healthcare I would have better coverage. Oh well...
