Thought it would be good to give folk a point of reference.  Some are unsure how much they will be able to eat in the future, some wonder if they can eat too much......

I'm 4 years and 3 months out.

In one sitting I can eat:
One children's sized hamburger - I pinch the extra off the bun tho.  Maybe 4-5 fries
OR
6 oz filet mignon w/2-3 bites of baked potato
OR
5 oz chicken breast and 4 tablespoons of a veggie
OR
5-6 oz filet of fish and small side salad w/dressing
OR
4 slices of bacon and almost one scrambled egg w/cheese

I can tolerate sugar in fun size candy bars, but not full size ones.  I can eat one small scoop of ice cream w/o dumping, I can eat a 2-3 inch square of cake w/frosting

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I am almost 11 months out and I had the DS so here is what I can tolerate.

In one sitting I can eat

a 6 oz bacon wrapped filet mignon and one very small baked potato with a few slices of tomato

or

one bolied eggs with 3 or 4 slices of bacon

or

half of a chicken breast and a 1/4 cup of veggies

or

5 ounces of baked fish and half of a small gardan salad with the dressing on the side

Since I had the DS I can tolerate sugar.  So I can eat a whole candy bar slowly or several fun size even though I am not suppose to eat it.  Basically I can eat most anything I have a taste for but I always remember to chew, chew, chew and take it slow and listen to my body.  If I feel full I stop and then wait for at least 30 minutes then drink.  I usually eat something every 3 or 4 hours; about  3 meals and 3 snacks a day.

GM and Happy FRIDAY MM! Just a side note that quiche was the bomb and my kids loved it!!

I'm 1 year and 7 months out.

In one sitting I can eat

small side salad with grilled chicken breast

4-5  chicken drummies with a salad

half of a sandwich with all the toppings (must have toasted bread) w 5 carrot sticks

now I have to use control on the bacon but I usually do 3 slices and 1 scrambled egg w/cheese and onion

I haven't had ice cream at all since I had surgery... and I can eat a piece of cake as long as its not too sweet.

WOW!!!!! This is really great info. I think everything is always about perspective and I think it is a benefit to see and hear everyones. I hope you guys really realize how much of a difference you make in the lives of people like me, because we really do need your perspective...the good the bad and the down right nasty.

Thanls again for doing this post MM.

I have what I call a 3 oz pouch meaning three ounces of dense protein.  Here's what fills me up at 9 months out:

* 2-3 oz meat with 1 cup salad (loosely not packed) or 1/2 cup soft     cooked veg
*3-4 oz ground meat alone (I'm stuffed)
* 2 oz meat on a lc flour tortilla with trimmings
* 2 eggs with 2 strips of bacon
* 1 egg with 2 oz other meat (say, steak and eggs) and half a flour tortilla (I'm stuffed)
* 4oz soft cooked veg with no protein
* 2 oz dry weight of lc pasta with tomato paste and olive oil

I don't often dump.  I can eat sugar and a lot of carb foods.  They go down really easy making them dangerous for me.  For example:
*a whole bagel with 2oz cream cheese or
*a 2 in piece of frosted cake or
*a grab and go can of pringles.
*a kit kat
* two sushi rolls
Kowing this I must plan well to eat carbs and continue to loose.  Most of all I have to learn not to over indulge in portion or frequency.

2 years and 5 months........seems like I can eat ANYTHING!!!!!! However I don't. I can eat sugar, pasta....whatever, just not as much as I used to. Some days I can eat less than others. Thankfully through working out and the tool that still works.......I am maintaining.

I am King of the JUNGLE!!!!
