New Post-op Tip
It has been a loooooooooooong time since I've given tips but I haven't been in the right place mentally to do so and I recognized that. When you suffer from chronic illnesses and Dr's are changing meds. it messes with your mind and I'm no longer working so I'm in a different place right now. Pray for me please.
Ok here's my tip......weight loss surgery is a journey. This is not a surgery you have and you recover and it's over, this is a lifestyle change and commitment !!!! No matter what surgery you have, you have to change something in your life. You have to take supplements daily, get your protein in, get the right amount of calories in and balance your carbs and fats and exercise. If you don't do this you can gain your weight back after your honeymoon period of losing weight is over. You can also suffer from vitamin deficiencies if you don't take your vitamins. We also get easily dehydrated if we don't get our 60-80 ozs of water in and we can lose our hair if we don't get in our 60-80 ozs. of protein daily.* These are just estimates* you should follow what your surgeon and nutritionist suggests and what your surgery requires.
***Disclaimer*** I'm not a Dr., nurse or medical professional or play one on the Internet, I just give tips to help people along the way.
Also, I'm awful with grammar so if you don't like grammatical errors this may burn your eyes.
