Is there such thing as loosing to much weight

I NEVER EVER thought there would come a day when I would say and or feel like I don't want to loose any more weight.  But I am there! trying to find clothes has been a nightmare.  March will be two years and having just celebrated my 45 birthday It was my goal two birthday's ago to take control of my health and get the weight off and keep it off, but now I'm down to a size 4 and its scaring me.  Is there something I can do to slow things down, I really liked being a size 8 I felt good and thought I looked good there.  Not that I'm not feeling good physically.  I don't know if this is emotional/mental or not but I feel like I am and look frail. I also feel guilty for wanting to be a little bigger does anyone know what I'm saying I'm just feeling a little insecure about my size and weight right now.

For those of us in our forty's a size 4 was really tiny.  However, in the 70's and early 80's a size 9/10 had a 24 inch waist and a size 11/12 had a 26 inch waist.  Now with a 29 inch waist I wear sixes and eights at The Gap.

You feel good, but do you look good and are you physically strong?  If so its just a new head game to replace the old head issues.  I was thinking just this weekend that I will land around a four after this last twenty pounds are gone.  Maybe even a two and it had me worried a little.  Your post gives me perspective.

If I'm stong and as healthy as I can be, I'll take very thin.  I took vey fat for a long time.  I looked damned good as a size 20 and as long as I'm healthy and strong I can look damned good if I wind up a size 2.

Yes - you can lose too much.

what are you eating?

are you taking your vitamins?

are you exercising?

have you had blood work done recently?

have you had a follow up with your surgeon recently?

Hey MackMomma.

I am eating just about anything which I know its not right but it comes down to truthfully a LOT of chicken and salad and lately soup.

I am taking my vitamins.  No I haven't been exercising in months since I had some surgery in July.

I have had blood work done recently in fact the Nurse called today and said my lab work was fine.

I haven't had a follow up with my surgeon in awhile.

#1 - sounds like you ain't eating worth a ****  Do a calorie tracker for a couple days - use www.mydailyplate.com if you have to.  See how much you are actually getting in - I'll BET you barely hit 1200.

#2 - you need to do some cardio, at least.  Regular walking is just fine.

#3 - you need to see your surgeon

After you finish #1 - hit me back up - I wanna hear the results! I have some calorie exchanges to help you out if there is a true deficiency there.

Val I was so where you are several years ago.. I kinda felt ungrateful complaining about it ~ but it was a very real problem.  It was cute to be called skinnie for a minute.  It was oh so satisfying to see that I had actually accomplished my goals and some.

It made me feel like a real weight loss success story but then I got smaller and smaller.  Then the jokes about a good wind blowing me over.  The I wa****ting 45 and in a very loose size 4 and quickly slipping down  I was 125 at one point.  WTF???  No grown azz woman should be a size 2 or 0 - what was I doing???

So then I stopped working out, started eating again and before I knew it my 4 was an 8 and a 12 again.  DAYUMN DAYUMN DAYUMN!!!!  Let me tell you it is so much easier to gain it back than it is to loose it.

I say this to say get a good nutritionist, find out just what you need to consume to regain and then how to maintain,  a good work out plan - don't stop working out - once you stop it's hard to strat back up again. Stay grounded - work on your head - it's the biggest part of this trip.

And most important of all -

Learn to LOVE YOU because YOU DESERVE IT - no matter what size you are.

WOW thanks so much Ms. Sharon.  I really needed all of the responses but I'm glad someone knows what I am talking about. Mack Mama also gave great advice.  I will certainly take heed. I almost did not even put this on the forum thats how guilty I was feeling. So I'm glad I did anyway.

According to my surgeon, I'm too small for my height. I'm 6'3 and weigh 174 lbs. I can fit in size 8-12's depending on who makes it. My labs are not good right now and I take all of my supplements everyday. My potassium and vitamin D is low so I have a rx for 1 and take 10,000 IU of the other.

I don't feel well but I think it's because of other illnesses that I have and it doesn't have anything to do with weightloss. I do have to be careful with my weightloss because of my height and I'm in the early stages of osteopenia due to a hysterectomy and not using hormone replacement therapy.

My surgeon wants me to gain up to 190 lbs. but right now it's hard for me to get my protein in. I understand the guilt about gaining weight because I looked at my surgeon like he had 3 heads when he said to gain weight but we had this surgery to be healthy so we have to look at it from a healthy point of view. Take care.
