Hi,

I've been natural since 03 but as of now I mostly get my hair pressed. But when I do feel like wearing a fro or a puff I just wa**** and use a good leave in conditioner. Sometimes I'll use  a little bit of alcohol free gel to lay it down. When I first starting growing out my hair I would do the 2 strand twist
so it would last alot longer and then take them down for the full curly effect. Good luck on your natural process you are in for alot of fun different hairstyles. I absolutely love the fact I can pretty much switch my up styles with my own hair.

I like Garnier Nutrisse Curl & Shine shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner for deep well defined naps.  For looser with less shrinkage: same brand, Sleek and Shine line, same items.  The straighteing products will not straighten nappy hair. You don't get as deep texture definition you do with the curl products so you keep the length.   Both resist humidity.

Last, ever day I use Fantasia ic straightening serum.  It will not straighten your hair without drying and using heat appliances.  A little is non greasy and it keeps my natural hair texture where it was when I combed it in humidity.  Also if I choose to blow dry or flat iron the same product is all I need.

I use the Kinky Curly line.  You can't tell from my current pictures what it really looks like because I pull it back when I go to work.  Whether it shrinks or not depends on your hair texture and how you dry it.  I only air dry so I get some shrinkage.

On the days I wear my hair straight which is pretty rare because I've gotten lazy... I use the Fantasia IC straightening serum and my Maxiglide.

Hi Michelle,

I was natural for 9 years and deiced to go back to the creamy crack about a year ago. I have finally come to my sense and am in the transitional faze again. All of that to say  what really works for me is Miss Jessy curly puding it gives me the curls and shine without the crunch or build up.  http://www.missjessies.com/  I also use Elasta QP Mango Butter. I have a tone of websites that I can send you with product reviews if you like

Blessings

Drea,
If you would send the websites, that would be awesome. I am too excited. I love my hair natural, but it is just not as on point as I would like.

Thank you so much!

I saw a chick on you tube that has hair kind of like mine, she uses Hawaiian Silky  14 in 1 miracle worker.   I'm thinking I may try that.

I went natural as of jan/07.  I wear my hair curly from spring to fall & I found out about kinky curly during the summer, but got it or a similar version  of kinky curls whipped creme & coconut sublime conditioner off of kristybeauty.com.  It does not draw my hair up.

Now that I'm wearing my flatironing myhair straight for the winter months, I found that Paul Mitchell's "the conditioner" is a great moistuzer that can be used daily.  It comes in a 13 oz bottle & just a dab will do you.  It does not make my hair revert at all.
