OT - A rose by any other name...
Being multi-racial, I could check every box on the list, but...I check African American and white usually. I prefer the term black. I also refer to myself as a bi-racial woman because most people understand that, but I often do, when asked what nationality I am, describe myself as creole which is most accurate. My father's linage is from New Orleans and he is creole and my mother is Canadian. French Canadians are apart of the linage of creole/cajun heritage. So creole really says it all. Being called colored is insulting. My Canadian grandmother use to use that term and it pissed me off every time she did!
