OT - A rose by any other name...

Every last first cousin was born and raised in Latin America or the Carribean.  In English or in Spanish they all called me Yankee. 

Hell, there was surprise when my parents brought me back home to the US after a visit as a toddler.  They wanted me raised over there in the old country where I would not have the spoiled ways of Yankee children.  These folks lovingly thought go cut a switch was being too lenient on your @$$. 

OK, flashback, way off topic here, ptsd.

Hi,,

My Dad was an American Indian, my mom was just a plain ole Black woman.
I go by Black,, years ago,, it was "colored",, my birth certificate says "other". WTF??
I put both of my boys down as Black.

I Proud to be a Black Man and that's a fact Man!!! Enough said!!! Holla at your boyee and I told you Ayy you can no longer hold the title Double_Ayy no my brother you Little_Ayy You Digg!!!!!!!!   he's back!!!!!!

I hear ya, Homes!  I think I will drop the "Double" part someday soon but knowing some of the folks on here they'll STILL try and shorten whatever I change it to. 

I like to be called Black, personally.  Myself and most Black Americans are so far removed from Africa-I think its kinda silly to try to lay claim to it.  I know and work with many African immigrants and they are who I consider to be 'African American'.
