New date/ new surgeon
I am going in for surgery November 5th. I have finally decided to have RNY. It took a lot of research to realize that this is the surgery for me. The sleeve came pretty close to being my choice, but I think in the long run I will be quite satisfied with RNY. I have ordered some vitamins from BJs bariatric. I also ordered nectar protein drink. They have fuzzy naval, so I wanted to see how that taste.
I thought at this point I would be excited or scared or something, but I don't have any emotions really. I guess the day of surgery or the night before I will be excited and scared. I am realizing that this surgery is super serious. It is going to be a true life changing experience. My eating habits will change drastically. I am no longer going to be able to eat the way I have been eating for the past 30 years. I have to change how fast I eat which is something I think is going to be hardest.
I am happy to be fortunate enough to be able to utilize this tool. I just figured I was stuck obese for the rest of my life. But now that I have a chance (a great chance) to lose the weight I am thankful.
