OT: The 'undateable' theory................
I believe that there are some folks who were "alloted" a soulmate and others who weren't. I believe that some people were not meant to be married and some that were. If you think about the ratio of men to women alone, that fact would almost seem evident. But I think what has happened is that some of the people who were not meant to be married/in a committed relationship tried it anyway and just messed up the whole system!! Those would be those selfish, greedy S.O.B.'s (like the one I was married to) that wasted the time and years of perfectly good men & women.
I also think that one of the main reasons we go thru some of these jacked up, throwed off relationships is because we don't know what we want. And the reason we don't know what we want is because we don't know who the hell we are for a long time!! For all the people who had those marriages/serious relationships that began in their early 20's and ended in their 30's & 40's - think about it...you really didn't know what the hell you were doing, but you were doing a whole lot. Taking on big dog stuff when you were really still burping up Puppy Chow! Then the next thing you know you you are waking up with bills, kid(s), and some nut @$& person who you really don't even like and have nothing in common with!!!
Then by the time you get rid of him/her, sometimes three- four times, get to know yourself, you end up here... at the tail end of 30 on to 40+ mark wading through a sea of people in various stages of screwed up!!
But with alllllll dat said, I AM STILL A ROMANTIC AT HEART!!! I am TRYIN' NOT TO GIVE UP! And in the meantime, I have broadened my horizons and although I loves me HERSHEY BAR, I recognize that a couple of Golden Oreo cookies can hit the sweet spot too!

"It's Hard Out Here Fo A Pimp"
Soulmate? Actually, I don't buy the idea of just ONE soulmate.
I think there are many (potential soulmate) presentations made and YOU CHOOSE ....
and if not that one, there will be another to take their place.
errrrrrrrrrrr ...............
Mack .... strong, intelligent, amazing wit ....... look, if I weren't hetero,
in a different state, older, and married ...... you'd be my soulmate!
