I want to loose 8 lbs this month and I hope to jump start the month with three this week.  I ate well yesterday but not the planned menu.  Still protein but more veg than planned and some dairy that has already come back to bite me.  Also, too much salt.  That's what happens when I don't eat at home.    All vits taken, about 72 oz liquids and some plain water too.

I woke up in an eating mood today so I have to be careful.  I have roasted meats ready to nibble if needed.  I'd rather graze on an ounce of dense protin here and there than catch myself out and wanting to munch.  We all know whats out there so I'll stay full and avoid temptation.  Splitting my feedings into snacks makes it tough to get the liquids in but if it keeps me protein focused and away from overeating.  I'll just drink up in the evening and potty all night.

TMI, I know.  But, I'm sure others have days they feel like grazing too.  I'd love to know how any of you handle this.  There has to be a better way than this.

Todays plan:
Cut back on the veg and I've got beef, pork, chicken, turkey and seafood at the ready as needed.  Starting to retain more water so I've got to pull the liquids back to 64 oz.  Of course all supplements.  Still under the weather so its extra lite on the exercise till Thursday when I'll try to step it up a bit.  I hope to be on track next week.  My muscles are really feeling it.

I wish this journey was effortless. I am making an attempt to get back into my groove.  I have come too far to return to some of my old habits.  I am battling with the carb monster daily and right now that SOB is winning but I am making more of an effort to fight the carb cravings.

I remember being warned about letting that monster in.  I'm surprised how little it takes to set me off.  Its out of my system now thank God but I'm going cold turkey here.

I can do certain types of cheeses.  Thanks for the suggestion.  As for almonds, its how to stop that's the problem.

Okay here it is......

I am a doctoral student who has completed all classes and I just have to write my dissertation which is currently in the proposal stage.  Now after I thought I did the perfect proposal.  My mentor gave me about 17 corrections to make which just took the wind out of my sails and I haven't picked it up since.  I think with all the stress that I have had lately. I don't want to pick up another textbook.  I am tired worn and I just basically don't wanna do it.  Tired of school period and I just want to take an entire mental break. You know like forever!! But the thing is I know my community can benefit from this.  And I know I can do great things!!  So right now it just sucks sucks sucks!!

I just wanted this to be the one thing in my life that was easy!!! And guess what?  It aint!!! LOL LOL

So any pep talks out there I am glad to listen.  Feel free to PM me as well

I hear you on the not easy part.  I just came from support group.   Many surgeries and stages represented.   We all have that same issue.  Posting helps me get some perspective.

We're here for you.  Life will always stress you so don't let the phd complications get you off track on your wl plan.  Some days the world conspires to derail you.  Hang tough with both programs.
