V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I had to change my avi to reflect this 'tween' stage I've talked about. Not a newbie, no way near being a vet, but knowing just how to fkcu it all up without upsetting the pouch too much.
I've gotten through three solid days of succesful Atkins indiction by remembering what I learned at the OH event last week. A speaker (I have no memory for details.), in essesnce said the definition of comfort food has become what feels easy to the pouch. Therefore, the carbs come back and carb monster takes over. Most of us have some form of carb that goes down easy and is satisfying post op. Its perfect when we don't want the heaviness of the protein foods but it screws our wl or maintenance. I recalled this everytime I wanted the non protein foods the pouch seems to prefer.
After just a 2.2 lb loss since the Labor Day Challenge, I dropped 4.2 lbs since Wenesday. I've known I was unusually carb sensitive since my teens. I let the carbs in and went from fat to obese in my thirties. I even continued to gain weight post op on no carbs. I was told by two different doctors with knowledge of my medical history that I was metabolically challenged and would always struggle despite wls.
Talk about lying to myself??? What the hell made me think I could eat more than a minimal amount of carbs in a day? Who was I trying to fool? I'm still retaining water but I'm loosing again. Fingers crossed.
I'm staying focused on the protein once again on day four of my induction. Yesterday I ate well, got in all vits, no plain water because the pouch was in need of a warm beverage all day but zero caffine.
Today's menu:
chicken wings
roast beef w/ onion, garlic, tomato
crab salad w/avocado
sf pudding or a protein bar
salad w/ a boiled egg and goat cheese
If I can drop another three pounds over the next week I'll be within 20 lbs of my goal weight. Yipeeee!!!

My feet are smoking
I was doing well, then I had a candy call (hot tamales and junior mints) and answered it. After ingested all that I could, I got back on track and even did 30 minutes on the treadmill, which is good for me.
However I am struggling again. I will succeed this time and remain focused on reaching my goal by March.
