Taking Communion

Has anyone had an issue taking Communion? (Grape juice & a wafer) I'm thinking is so little, but what do I know?

Quit trippin - you'll be fine.  Concentrate on why you NEED communion in the first place........

I have NEVER eaten a cheeseburger!  No lie!  Burgers w/o cheese, only ketchup.  Doughnuts were a treat. I didn't have a sweet tooth. LOL.

I'm scary right now and don't wanna dump.   Just found out to eat b4.

I Can understand the scary feeling of not wanting to dump...I am 2 weeks behind you and have that feeling everytime I put something near my mouth.....please share your secrets....I have lost 27 lbs in the 1st month .....

...I'd agree! Dumping or no Dumping ...I would figure out a way! 

I did and personally, I don't think I would try it again.  I would have never thought it would cause an issue, but I got really light headed, nauseated, warm, etc and had to immediately go to the ladies room with extreme foamies.  I think the only reason I didn't throw up was because there was nothing in my stomach at the time.  It seems like a small thing, but based on my experience I seriously recommend caution cause getting sick is possible!!

I had a major issues after taking it the first time after my surgery...You would think that it wouldn't hurt but WOW....I was SO embarrassed because I'm an Evangelist at my church and I was helping to serve.  I just took my little cup, Drank it real fast and I IMMEDIATELY became light headed and had to run to the bathroom.  I still participate in communion but I dip my cracker into my juice and I call it a day.  God knows our hearts and He honors us for our obedience in participating in communion.

Oh I am sorry.   To addressed your question,  I have not had any problems,  although I am a gastric sleeved patient.

Glad you asked this question!!! I have been scared out of my mind to try to take communion!!! From the answers on this board I am going to just let it pass me by as I have been doing!!
