Good Morning

 

I am so grateful for the Lord's mercy and grace. All power is in his hands. Today is another chance for us to do the LORD'S will and I am thankful for that. I am happy we do not have to be who we use to be desiring things of the world. It so amazing when you understand and receive spiritual gifts. Have a blessed day.

Nahum 1:3 (King James Version)

 ³The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

 

Hi HF...

I like this reference in the Old Testament to the LORD being..."slow to anger".

Many times we view God in the Old Testament as being..."easily ticked off"...or maybe..."having a chip on His shoulder"...or maybe..."having a short fuse"...etc, etc...when he poured out judgement on certain groups...

But...I think a careful study of the Hebrew Scripture will show that He was indeed "slow to anger".   Time and time again it shows that He warned folks for hundreds...and hundreds...and hundreds of years...before judgement finally came...

That is so true GOD warned different groups in the old testment many times before he showed them his anger. 

Which should be a "wake up call" for this generation, but alas...
Matthew 24:36-44

The Day and Hour Unknown

 ³⁶"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only

the Father. ³⁷As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ³⁸For in

the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up

to the day Noah entered the ark; ³⁹and they knew nothing about what would happen until the

flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the

Son of Man.

⁴⁰Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. ⁴¹Two women will be grinding
with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

 ⁴²"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what

day your Lord will come.
 
⁴³But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was

coming, he would have kep****ch and would not have let his house be broken into.
 
⁴⁴So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an
hour when you do not expect him.

What will he find us doing? Hmmmmm
