Freakin bout the flu?

Has anyone elses employer started freakin out about the flu? OMG these crazy people here are sending employees home at the first sign of illness. My co worker on days was sent home yesterday cuz he had a fever. Doc said it was bronchitis but they still wont let him come back till hes fever free. Guess who gets to stay over every morning?

that sucks. Mine is currently taking "pre-cautions".  They have posted in all of the restrooms how to "properly" wash your hands so that you don't spread germs.  But in their scenario, they address turning off the faucet by using a papertowel, but don't go the extra step to tell you to use a papertowel as protection to open the door to exit the bathroom, which means they just contaminated themselves again.

They also have big bottles of sanitizers everywhere. 

My employer is giving free flu shots onsite.  If you miss the onsite shots you could get a coupon to get it free elsewhere.  I couldn't do either one because I'm allergic to one of the ingredients in the regular flu shots.  I have to go to my PCP to get one.  At this point I'm still debating taking it because I'll have a co-pay and have to pay for the shot.  If I don't take the shot and get sick they will send me home or tell me to not come in.  I have a co-worker who comes in very early and sprays the cubes near her with lysol.  I know my phone & desk will be germ free when I arrive.

If your co-worker has a fever he's contagious.  He needs to stay home and make sure you sanitize any areas you share.  Sorry you have to stay over but sick people need to stay home.
