Ayy yo,

The banking industry has lost their collective ever-lovin minds I tell ya.  Check your statements, Folks.  These bastids want to charge us all upwards of $35 per bounced check and another $35 or more on top of that  for EVERY subsequent "hit" against your account until you reconcile your funds proper-like.  I understand that they have to make money too but wasn't there a time in America when if you didn't have it in the account then they didn't let you buy it with your debit card.  But now you could fugg around and owe them your whole entire paycheck if you ain't careful.

WTF??

And furthermore, the major credit (credic for my brethren in the dirty south) card companies even want to charge you for not using their card that you had sitting around in your wallet for years and not actively using.  That's like Nike sending you a bill once a month for owning some of their products with the "Swoosh" logo on it.

Do we have any financial gurus amongst our BAF congregation?  Anybody here that can help us navigate these tough economic times?  Please.    What is us gonna do?  Holla atcha boy.

I think they hire folks for the sole purpose of sitting around and thinking up ways to squeeze dough out of us.  Shiznit's crazy.

It cracks me up when the bill collector calls me and says, "Well is there a relative or family member that you can borrow the money from?"

My reply is always the same,
"Nope.  In this economy they're doing just as bad as I am."

Here's your "proper" reply...

Bill Collector: "Well is there a relative or family member that you can borrow the money from?"

You: "You sound really concerned about my dire situation.  Will you lend the money  to me?"

B.C.: "But Sir, I don't know you."

You: "I don't know me either."

B.C.: "Sir, I don't trust you."

You: "I don't trust me either."

One of two things will happen...either the B.C. will hang up and realize that you are just as crazy as they are or B.C. will try to back pedal and take a logical route to deal with the situation.

Without struggle, there is no progress.

 @ You: "I don't know me either."

After that exchange I'd hang up on me too.

You're actually taking calls from the bill collector? Isn't that what caller id is for?

If i don't recognize the number, I don't answer.  The next step is to do a reverse phone lookup or a area code lookup.  If I'm still not sure (as it may be a potential client) then I call them back & promptly hangup if it's one of "them".

Ummm - yea..... it's a for-profit business right?

Banks HATE folk that pay balances off early, never miss a payment and are never late - those are actually the WORST customers - there's NO money to be made from them!!!!

How exactly do you think they make a profit off a credit line?  the interest?  REALLY???  come on!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
