Almost 2 Months Out & I am Fustrated!!!

I had my RNY surgery on 9/1 and have lost 38 pounds so far....I am happy about the weight I lost so far but  I am fustrated because for the Month of October I have only lost about 2 pounds.

I have been keeping a food diary, working out 4 times a week, drinking water, eating sensible meals, and getting in my protein....I am just fustrated and ticked off that I am already at a plateau. I just feel so discourage that I have worked so hard to get this surgery only to lose a little and then plateau.

How can I get through this hump without going crazy?????

Ok, you lost 38 pounds in a month, and you are frustrated?, ask yourself when is the last time that you lost 40 pounds in a month and a half?

Keep doing what you are doing, the weight will come off, you had weight loss surgery, it still take time, the weight will not leave overnnight and every once in a while your body take a break from losing to adjust.  A plateau is not losing anything for a long period of a time....you are not on a plateau.

I don't think I ever lost 38 lds in a month with all the diets I was on..I just don't want to be the small percentage of people that the surgery won't work for..  I am a fighter and I am not giving up now!!!
Thanks!

Howdy,

keep in mind that when pounds are not coming off of you the inches are, if you are not taking measurements already you should because you may be pleasantly surprised. The stall will eventually break. Hang in there.

I thought I had stalled at that time also but I was losing inches the whole time.  Don't be discouraged, just keep doing what you are doing and the weight will fall off.  Also it's not uncommon to hit stalls along the way, just don't give up!

It happens...your body is adjusting.  You'll wake up one morning, get on the scale and find that you've lost several more pounds (and also inches) without even realizing.  Just keep doing everything right.

Hang in there... It really will come off.  Just stick to the program.

Hi!

As others have stated, just continue moving forward, on-plan.  The weight loss will ebb & flow, so I suggest you step away from the scale for a while (no more that once per week), and be patient with the process.

You will have some big drop weeks, and some with no loss; all normal.

You are doing GREAT!!!  Hang in there, breathe and relax!

Your doing good! I am soon to b 4 months out and have lost a total of 43 lbs. In the last 3 weeks I have not lost anything. I know it gets hard cuz your like WTF is going on!!! but u have to b patient, and stay off the scale. It was hard for me to do that at 1st and I must admit I still have my days when I just want to jump on it ans see if I have lost any weight, so I put the scale im my garage lol
