Halloween costumes
My Hubby's niece is hosting a b-day party for her husband on Halloween. It is a costume party! Oh Lord! She and her sisters took me looking for a costume. They are fixated on my weight loss and want me to show off (something I am not comfortable with). They want me to wear something very tight and sexy. I am too old for this mess! At 42... I don't want to be prancing around in some itty bitty costume. They say that I am being silly and I am not too old. I still feel like the same old me and I am not sure about this at all. Any thoughts... Maybe I am just self-concious. What about you guys? Any experiences.... Help!
I'd say wear what you feel comfortable wearing or you're not going to enjoy the party. I'm not an exhibitionist either, so I understand not wanting to wear overly revealing or too tight clothes. You can be sexy without being trashy.
Maybe try looking at some of the online costume stores for inspiration.
ETA: These look fun.
Wear something you are comfortable in, but don't let your former self hold you hostage either. You are not that person you used to be and if you were the type to hide behind excess clothes it might be worth it to step outside of your comfort zone (a little anyway).
Working on me - want to be better in everyway not just physically!!! Its a process no time to judge or be judged!!!!
