OT: RINGS?

This is a good question.  In my husband's line of work he can not wear rings. My husband only tends to wear his ring when ever we are together and he is not working.  Wearing rings is not a big deal in our relationship.  I have not been wearing my wedding ring because I can not fit it anymore and it can not be sized.  My husband is not really feeling buying me a new ring so most of the time I only wear rings I have bought myself since I am a jewelry lover. If my husband and I did wear our rings daily I would say we should only remove them if we were getting a divorce.  JMHO

GM, Brother Doug

When I was going through the last remnants of my marriage, she would constantly remove and replace the ring.  The last time she removed it, I took mine off and never put it back on.

At that point, I knew it was over from my point of view and didn't care if she put it back on.

D, when dealing with crumbling relationship, we can want so badly to put it back together.  However, there comes a time when you have to say, "Honey, as much as I may love you, I love MYSELF much more.."  and call it a day.

I wish you good luck, brother.  I don't wish divorce on anyone, for it can be a painful experience at times.

Okay, since we're being hypothetical:

The FIRST time she takes of the ring, I say call it a relationship.   That back and forth thing it total b/s and meant to manipulate.  Period.   And the first time she takes her's off, I take MINE off and KEEP it off.

........YOU GOT THAT RIGHT D!!!  THAT MANIPULATIVE B/S...I DON'T HANDLE WELL.  I'LL START "BUCKING" WHEN I FEEL MANIPULATED.  (hypothetically speaking...of course)

With my luck with men, if I ever DO get married - I'm going to have our rings surgically embedded on the finger.......

NOW TAKE DAT OFF!!!!

Naw - for reals - I think taking the ring off is the total extreme - it shouldn't be taken off in jest, anger or with any hesitancy - cause if you stop wearing it - you're signaling the beginning of the end.....

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Removing the rings might not be a sign that it's over.  It might be them "saying" something is REALLY serious to them and they are trying to get your attention.  If the second partner also removes their ring and the first one gets upset, I would almost bet that this is the case.  If the first partner didn't get upset, that would mean that they didn't care.

It's time for somebody to have a heart to heart.
