I'm have my Realize Band surgery this Thursday!  I'm starting to get nervous.  I know I need to do it for my health.  I know it's going to be work, but I don't want to have surgery and fail once again at losing weight.  Did anyone else feel like this before surgery?

Of course we all felt nervous, it's only natural.  Do you have anyone there to support you?  I felt so releaved the day of my surgery because my mom and sister were there.   There is nothing more relaxing and comforting than having loved ones around in your time of need.

I'm scheduled to be banded on Friday and I feel the same way. My husband and mother will be at the hospital with me. Just talk to the Lord from now on and He will direct your path. I'll also keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Kawanna & Tinkty, is natural to be nervous and its natural to be concerned about failing but as long as you focus on what your doctor tells you will be fine. This surgery is an excellent tool to help you stay focus. Just don't sabotage yourself by thinking of all the times you have tried before. This is what you need to lick this problem once and for all. So stay strong and try not to worry.

WLS is life altering, so it's completely normal to be nervous.  We've all been there, once it's done you'll wonder why you waited so long!  Wishing you the absolute best.

Yes you are not alone in your feelings.  This was one of the best decisions I could have made.  Had to come here and talk about these doubts and get inspiration.  Routing for you to go through.  Sending prayers up for a uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.  Hang tough, see ya on the losers bench

I felt the same until a week or so before my surgery date.  Then it was replaced by a kind of nervous excitement.  You'll sail through your surgery and be on your way to good health.
