I AM APPROVED FINALLY

My appt with my surgeon was Sept 21and my paperwork was not turned in until Oct 6 and got approved on yesturday Oct 16th for the Duodenal Switch. I am just waiting to get my surgery date. I am so so excited. I only thing I am really nervous about is the gas and pooping I want to start taking a probiotic at least a week before having the surgery which would be the best or is it just trial and error?

Contgratulations!    I am RNY, so don't have an definate answer for you, but I take them on a regular basis post surgery.  But, you might be better to pose that question on the DS board.

I did not have any pre requirements until the day before I had to take citrate for cleanse.  from experience pooping and gas come for some.  I had RNY however from what I know gas is normal.  The smell sucks.  Someone will maybe come by with your type of surgery or go to that fourm.  Anyhoo, congrats on your date and will see you on the losers bench
