Wow...great question.  I had to go and open my daily devotionals to get my list out girl!!!  Cuz I'm praying my Boaz in....anyway...here goes

I must say this, I care more about what I am coming to the table with than what I will get when I get there.  Meaning:  I have to have myself together first and poses the same qualities that I am looking for in a mate before I can attract him to me.  Like attracts like.

Okay, my list is extensive so I will keep it to the most important things and comprise them if I can.

1) He MUST have a mature, personal and long standing relationship with God.  Not just a hearer of the word, but doer of it.  He must be pressing in to the advancement God's kingdom.  He must be involved with ministry on some level.  He must be a seasoned man of God in order to be able to lead me spiritually.  I do not want someone chasing me into the church and "finding" Jesus thinking that fulfills the requirement.

2) If he is a seasoned man of God then he will posses the fruits of the spirit.  He will seek to be honest, kind, loyal, self controlled, patient and loving.  He will be a man after God's heart.

3) THIS IS BIG FOR ME:  He MUST be strong enough to submit to.  (Okay, this is complicated, but I will try comprise it).  He must walk and speak in his authority, but NOT be an authoritarian.  He must be dominant but NOT be dominating.  He must lead with a quiet ,secure confidence and wisdom.  He must be mature and settled in himself and know beyond a shadow of a doubt who and WHO'S he is.  He must be able to lead me, advice me, teach me, love me, lift me, Cherish me, respect me, protect me, honor me, care for me.... EXALT me.  BUT most importantly....LET me do all of those things for him without taking it for granted!

4) He must be professionally accomplished and financially successful. He may be growing professionally, but not BECOMING a professional.  He must be financially secure not starting to grow his financial security.

5) He must be physically fit.  He must be a person who works out, eats well, and is leading an active life. No couch potatoes!  I want a muscular man, who is well built, strong and healthy.  Which leads me to....

6) He must take care of himself.  Nice feet, nice teeth, dressed well.  He gets check ups at the doctors regularly.  He gets his eyes checked and goes to the dentist.  He keeps his face, hair, nails in check.  He is well and appropriately dressed.  He is dresses as a grown man and not like a 20 year want-to-be sports star, thug, rapper!

7) and lastly, ( we all grown folks here right??) He must be well endowed.  No short d*cked men please!  In fact, no pencil d*cked men either.  He must walk quietly and carry a big stick.  He must be sexually mature and sexually healthy.  He must not be the "one trick pony" dude.  Meaning, he has mastered one sexual "trick" to please a woman because he may not be well versed or capable in the other areas.   I will say this, I am not like many women who enjoy a man who can "LICK" his way to the tootsie roll center.  Nah, gotta come with something more than that.

Enough said.

Love is all there is, ever was or ever will be...

#3 in your list is a major major factor and probably one of the most diffcult for a most men to acheive. Many men have a hard time finding that balance. No disrespect to any one but Glam you worded it perfectly.

I agree, it is very hard for a man to achieve, for ANY of us to acheive quite frankly, but all things are possible with God so....  Thanks for the support sweetie.

Brenda...I am feeling this list! Especially #7...LOL! Right now, I'm in my Joshua(lina) mode...but the good thing is God has brought me back to the man who loves me for me...and I am so thankful that he CARES about me in EVERY way.

Thanks for the 'bucket list" - printing it and posting it...somewhere!

but...#7...lemme give you a ^5 on that one! LOL!
I choose to love myself, live life to the fullest, and encourage others to liberate themselves!
