AM I RIGHT OR AM I RIGHT?
Okay, I have a friend who decided to pursue her Master Degree with Capella University. I was esctatic for her! She completed her goal statement and asked me to review it and make corrections. I reviewed it for her as we are friends. Well, a few sentences within the first paragraph I could understand why she wasn't accepted to the traditional graduate school programs. Capella accepted her on a conditional basis. To my dismay her writing sequence, style, grammar, and everything else was off. I corrected the first few lines for her, sent it back, and told her to read what I had changed. I wanted to make sure that she agreed with my corrections. Within the first few lines of her paragraph it stated that all of her friends were graduating or graduated with a Master Degree and she felt left out. <<<I even considered that she may be utilizing my work as a sample to complete her. However, I had met an acquaintance through Capella and when I realized that she used me for my work and input she stopped coming around as her C's became A's. So, I vowed not to have someone use me in that fashion again.
Tis better to be dis-liked than to be loved by them cuz your always on their mind.

I had it happen to me before so believe me when I tell ya. It's a tough pill to swallow when the same dude that you helped to get a job where you worked, once hung out with, and drank brew together with, you now have to ask for a day off from or turn in your vacation request in to for approval.

In other words, I thought about everything with my friend and thought maybe my friend wants to use my previous work from that class as a sample or guide to complete her assignments. Or she just might want to copy and paste her name in the lines of the discussion as we speak in the third person.
Additionally, I had met up with a student from Capella and we became close. We had study sessions together. She was earning C's and D's in class. As soon as her grades came up to an A I stopped hearing from her. Recently, she contacted me as she's still in Capella but I am guessing that she needs help because she asked me if I had already taken a previous course. So, I don't want to be used and I don't want all of my hard work taken advantage of.

I get it now and I think you are on point. Sounds like a user to me. Let her find another study partner. You are soooo right.
