Whom ever said that people who have WLS are taking the easy way out, have never had this experience. This is a journey and a major challenge. Step by step I am striving to make it as a loser!!

Hi Ebony. I just had my lapband on Wed, Oct 14th...about 4 days ago. I went in at 5:30a and surgery started at 7:30a and I was home by 11:30a. I really did not have much pain at all. I was really high from the medicine and just wanted to sleep. My mom was taking care of me and gave me the pain meds for the first couple of days. I was fortunate and did not have any gas pain, at least not yet anyway. I was told by the post-op nurse that my surgeon is good at getting most of the gas out. I have not had any complications thus far.
