A woman who knows her own mind and heart is a fearsome creature.  These attitudes persist because they serve his needs, ego in particular.  Many men and women believe that women should be so grateful for attention from any man that she will accept what is handed to her.  Clean or foul, be glad a man is interested in you. 

Too many women are running scared because there's this supposed man shortage.  Even the lowest of the low males are feeling a sense of entitlement.  

I don't do interviews and I don't chase men and I don't settle.  Call me what you like but I stand my ground on my relationship standards.  So what if some substandard man is calling me a man bashing gold digging *****  He's beneath me.  I step over him and move on. 
   

but WHY - is it that when a woman speaks out demanding a STANDARD from bruhs, she gets labeled a 'man-basher' - but when she lays down and rolls over for whatever.... she's a 'ho'????


You know me and you are on the same page with this one. I am a strong willed and strong minded single black female who does for herself. Why is it that when men see that you have you s-it together they want you to take care of them. WDF??? Dude, get a job or get your hustle on however you do it but leave my S_it alone. It's mine when I saw yo broke azz and it's mine when i don't see you. But we are being labeled as STUCK UP SISTAS, she thinks she better than everone else.The only man I'm taking care of at this point is my 12 years old son. And hell to the naw you ain't getting no Kitty ain't nothing free ovr here.

I have questions, MM.

Do you have different standards and expectations (career, income, education, etc.) for women than you do for men?  What are the advantages/disadvantages of dating men versus women?  Which gender gave you the most satisfying relationship(s) in the past and why?  Would you consider having another relationship with a woman at this point in your life?

I do have slightly different expecatations - when I am with a woman, I'm the 'man' in the relationship - and I assume the provider role - I am adding to her life and taking care of her.  so I'm not expecting the same of her as I would a man for me - but I expect her to be the woman I am prepared to be for a man - does that make sense?

As far as satisfying relationships - VERY interesting question.  To be honest - it's somewhat even steven.  I will say that I am more 'comfortable' being alpha dog w/ a woman, it just 'feels' like more my zone.  Men I've dated have always had trouble seeing me as really a 'woman' with them because I'm so 'cool' or whatever, I'm the homie lover friend combo and they seem to get confused when I require them to treat me as they would a non-alpha type female........

Would I consider a woman?  WOW - big question.  I'd said that part of my life is closed, but honestly - I still dig women.  I can't say that if the right type chick for me rolled up, I couldn't turn her down or walk away.  But a hot, cute chick with solid sense, job and not a bunch of drama, no more than 1 kid - WOW...... ~shaking head and rubbing the back of my neck~ Ionknow cuz.....

Been there, done that.  Some guys can't wrap their brains around the concept that a woman can be strong and have an opinion, but she still wants the man to open doors for her and buy her roses.
