Im starting to second guess WLS
Hello everyone, I am very new to this site and have been doing more reading than anything...Well initially I wanted Lap-Band but later learned that it wasn't a great idea for someone with a high BMI ( mines is 54) then I decided on the sleeve and am at the beginning of the whole process....WELL I and 5' 6" and wear a size 22. I do not want to be any smaller than a 12(prefer a 14) I am very curvy and I LOVE IT
however I was wondering if I will have any CONTROL over how much weight I lose???? I don't wanna look sick or be TOO small....Any thoughts or comments would be great!

The sleeve will give you as much control as you want. I've gone from a 22 to a 14 but I'm aiming for a size 8. I don't think any one has gotten too small with a sleeve unintentionally. The really skinny sleevers are that way on purpose. Once you hit goal you just start playing with your calories and carbs to figure out what your maintenance level will be. Maintaining with the sleeve is fairly easy if you are not into sweets.
Hi, I'm new here too and I am almost exactly in your shoes. I am 5'7" and wear a size 22 or 24. I am definitely planning to have the sleeve for a few reasons but not wanting to lose my curves is one of the major reasons. I was skinny all of my childhood, teens and young adult years. After I had my first child I went to a size 14 and I LOVED IT!!!
And that's where I want to be again!
My dr. won't do anything but the sleeve on me, I didn't want the band and he said the other surgeries are too heavy hitting for me. He (& I) feel that the sleeve will offer the amount of control I need. So Go For It Girl!!!!!

There's really no science to how people lose weight so to an extent this is somewhat out of one's control.....somewhat.
And for the record you can be small and curvy.
Good luck to you.
