ol charleys
OK I have been thinking about a lot of things here lately, I am close to five months out and have not went out to eat and I was thinking of going to lunch with my co-workers to Ol Charley's and saw the prime rib pasta that I use to eat before the surgery wow it looks really good. Was wondering if you think that dish would be fine to eat? I have been getting really depressed because I am not eating at all, don't really know how to cook.......I just want to eat something I can enjoy and not get sick. What do you think? Any suggestions!!!
I wouldn't order it. The Alfredo sauce is full of butter and cream and the pasta isn't that great of a choice for you. You'd probably dump big time if you ate that.
I looked at their menu and they do have some nice options. Most of the entrees listed below come with soup or salad.
- Filet mignon
- Grilled salmon
- Grilled shrimp (ask them to serve it without the rice)
- Grilled chicken
They also offer broccoli and asparagus as sides.
Ask for a carryout plate when you order because you will have leftovers.
Have fun!
SoBlessed gave you a really good list. The only thing In have to add is that I was warned to avoid asparagus untill over six months out because of the stringy texture.
By neccesity I ate out as soon as I was on solids. You just need to choose carefully. You want high protein items with a moist texture. For the reasons Lee stated, avoid high fat and carb content.
