Question of the morning: Why do some women pride themselves on having an attitude for no reason at all?   This morning, I get on a packed train; most people are standing near the door, as usual (the middle of the car causes leprosy, I guess).  I stand next to ths butt-ugly, moose-faced sister, say "excuse me" and I get attitute from this chick as if 2 say "Why u gotta stand nxt 2 me?". I guess I should have been honored to stand there next to this beauty-challenged wench.  Anyway, she eventually does move the inch or two needed for me to squeeze in to hold the bar while the train moves.  Next time, if she didn't want to rub elbows with the next person, I say she should take her limo to work.
New law needed: "Save the attitude for those you wake up next to, assuming you wake up next to something other than a teddybear. They have to take it. No one else does."

Hmmm.  interesting.

Perhaps your perception of her attitude is skewed?  What if she has a mental imbalance - or some mental issue with regard to standing next to people, or men?

What exactly did she actually SAY that gave you that impression?  Or did you lump all this intent and reasoning for her reaction just on how YOU were feeling this morning?

I've found that I read things into situations that really aren't there or that end up not being the case.

Maybe my perception might have been skewed.  Maybe there is a mental imbalance.  But, if you have a problem with crowded places, why deal with a crowded train?

The 'tude didn't come until I asked said "Excuse me" in an effort to grab the pole to keep from falling on a moving train.

I actually felt okay this morning because I had a pretty decent weekend; hung with my kid, went to a gospel concert to hear a good friend sing.  I got into a disagreement with the ex-wife, but i'm used to that (lol).

Some times, ur right, it IS a case of reading into things that aren't there.

I guess I bring it up because last night I had a conversation with a friend (female) regarding male/female relationships.  She is someone who prides herself on being a "biatch" (her word, not mine).  I was saying that I, personally, was tired of dealing with attitudes and would stay single until I found someone who could keep the 'tude in check .  Her response?  "Then I guess ur gonna end up with a white woman".

All I could say was "wow, it ain't THAT serious, is it?"

Man - just like you try to tell me not to lump all bruhs in a category - you gotta do the same thing.  Every chick ain't cut from the same cloth.

and - maybe she has no choice BUT to use the crowded train - everyone's cir****tances are different - you never know what's really going on - benefit of the doubt is SOMETIMES a good approach until a mofo clears up ALL uncertainty with their actions.

Trina, dearest, re-read my original post.

I said "some women", not just "women" or "all women". Babe you know I NEVER lump all in one catagory, cuz I'd be including my mom and my daughter.

See - there you go with the ugly.  It ain't even that - my mother hates people in GENERAL - no matter who they are or what they are about - she would seriously rather live in a world without any people than deal with even ONE person.

Now, my mom is blessed w a job that allows her to avoid people in most instances - her own car, house, delivery services so that she doesn't have to go out - that lady you met might WANT to be able to get away but can't.

"Hate" is kind of a strong word, no?

I know you and ur mom have issues, but does she really "hate" people?  I don't think she hates you, T.

hell naw she don't hate me!  never said that.

she DOES hate people - folk in general - the public at large.  people she knows, not so much, but just out and about, walking around, people in the store or on a plane or in a train - kill em.
