So Blessed!

When I'm PMSing I sometimes crave sweets like honey buns.   Other than that, I can't really identify any particular trigger foods.  I go through phases with cravings.  It just depends on my mood.  More often than not, I'm like "I want something, but I don't know what I want"

I remember as a kid living down south...we would eat honey buns with cheese. To this day, I dont know what prompted that combination. I do see that Jamaicans have a similar, bun and cheese but the bun is not as sweet as a honey bun.

I used to love butter pound cake with a slice of American cheese melted on it.  The combination of sweet, butter and just a little bit of salt was great and the texture was both fluffy and creamy.

The first year I never ate anything over 7 grams of sugar for fear of dumping. Now that I'm 19 months out I push the envelope. I've always been a sweets person and I've been sneaking it back in and it scares me to death. I try to justify it by eating some protein first and then some sugar. I try not to go over 10-12 grams of sugar. But ever since my surgeon said that I need to gain weight my hubby is pushing food on me and he knows I love brownies and cake.   I can remember when I was a newbie and someone had a doughnut a as a siggy I wanted to cry and I made a comment about dreaming about food and now someone had made that doughnut a part of their siggy. They apologized and took it out. I feel bad now but I was at that stage where all you think about is food. Guess what I still dream and think about food. lol

Hey Neenaj.

LOL...you sound like me regarding the donut in the siggy line. I used to hate to see all the recipes folks would post..and most were not WLS friendly recipes....but now its all good...person has to learn to identify and cope with triggers cause they will creep up on you...when you least suspect it.
