OMG, a chittlin burger!!
I swear my momma (the hood caterer) made a chittlin pizza for a card party a few years. I don't remember all of the details, but it had a ho****er cornbread crust, a layer of slaw, and then the chittlins. I wouldda paid to see them nukkas trying to eat that thing.

I didn't access the link, but if this is the one created by Paula Deen, it also has a fried egg on it. Might as well go all the way . . .

Yep....it looks like it might be another one of his creations.
Meet the 1,500-calorie 'Craz-E Burger': beef patty, bacon and cheese on Krispy Kreme donut

Talk about a heart-stopper.
The donut burger - a bacon cheeseburger with a buttered Krispy Kreme glazed donut standing in for a bun - is becoming a hit on the fair circuit and among some far-out foodies.
Amusingly, the heart-stopping sandwich was sold just outside the West Springfield agricultural fair's "Better Living Center."
Pioneered in the South and popularized by Food Network host Paula Deen, it was a big hit at this year's Big E fair in Massachusetts. Fairgoers bought about 1,000 "Craz-E Burgers" each day of the fair's 17-day run, which ended Sunday, organizers said.
At 1,500 calories per, that adds up to 2.5 million calories worth of sugary, cheesy, bacon-dressed beef - or the creation of an additional 730 pounds of waistline jiggle.
The over-the-top donut burger has become a national sensation in an era of increasing pressure to eat healthy, local and less.
A bar owner in Decatur, Ga., claims to have invented it in 2005 when he ran out of burger buns. He called it a Luther Burger after singer Luther Vandross, who is sometimes credited with inventing it.
The Gateway Grizzlies, a minor league baseball team in Illinois known more for their death-defying ballpark food than their hitting, touched off the craze in 2006 by adding a $4.50 donut burger to the concession lineup.
Going the extra mile, the Grizzlies deep-fried their glazed donut before slapping it on the bacon cheeseburger. Attendance soared.
The ever-inventive Grizzlies have moved on and now hawk a new gutbuster made of 1.6 pounds of meat topped with salsa, sour cream, chili and Fritos. Cost: $20 and 4,889 calories.

I'm a healthy senior citizen carrying a few extra pounds, but this story sickens me! Whenever I get the craving for fast food, I get on the internet and read the various menus. When I'm done, I'm full, so I don't need to eat. However, a bacon burger on a Krispy Kreme donut is pukey! While I don't believe in the Weight Police, I might make an exception in this case.

That is just so nasty. And we all wonder why there's an obesity epeidemic in the USA. This is why. It's unfreaking believable. When you put these kinds of temptations in people's faces, yes some will give in and I am not condoning it. It's like taking the junkie to the crack factory. Ugh. This really needs to stop.

At 3500 calories/lb, that is a whopping 7300 lbs, almost 4 tons, that fair-goers put on thanks to these monstrosities against taste and good health. Please update the numbers in the article.

I'm not justifying it but it is fair food. I wonder how many calories the deep fried cheesecake is or the fried cheese curds? Why is this particular item being singled out for fat and calories?
