PLEASE SOME WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

My last appt with surgeon on Aug 21st. I have been calling my insurance almost everyday and they kept telling me they did not have anything from my surgeons office. I have called my surgeon's office who keep saying they faxed paperwork already. I am so frustrated. I finally got word that the infromation was recieved but the waiting is killing me. I have eaten my entrie refrigarator and deep freezer nervous about the outcome. This is a revision surgery so my surgeon or insurance did not require me to lose an weight. I posted about how fast would it be to get a determination from United Healthcare Choice Plus I heard not long but this is taking too long. I will be calling my insurance company first thing in the morning. HELP I AM PULLING MY HAIR OUT AND DRIVING MY FAMILY CRAZY.

I fought with UHC for 8 months to get my approval for WLS - and for my second plastic surgery which they PREapproved - they JUST paid the claim out to my doctor this week - my surgery was in May!!!

It's a process, and not a quick one all the time - you have confirmation that the steps are in place - the other ingredient is time - so chill - don't rush the recipe.  It's gonna be what's it's gonna be.  You tripping out right now isn't going to chance whatever is going to happen. 

 Couldn't have said it better myself.  All to add is DITTO.  Now MM you are going to have to let me know how you got UHC to cover the plastics.  I believe I have to wait a year and have lost 100 lbs. but I hear some of the ladies at work had lots of issues with plastics.

Mayn - my anchor cut TT was approved as a medically necessary revision to the jacked up panniculetomy I had last year.  Based on the complications I was having - the doc got it approved as a scar revision......

If any back office staff and 'get 'er done' - it's Reginald Buford, baby.  That man is solid gold with me!

Everything happens at the right place at the right time for the right reason. I was suppose to have my surgery in June or July of 2005 and was rejected. I had to have legal intervention and was finally approved in December 2005 for January 2006. Thank God! As it turned out, my blood count was dangerously low during that period that lead up to my approval in December 2005 so I had to wait until the New Year! How long have you been waiting for a response?

My paperwork was suppose to have been turned in on Aug 21st. I has a lapband in 2003 same insurance and same doctor it did not take long at all. I think I just need to chill like mack mama said.
