My coworkers wife is obese too.  When I was first going for my band, I told her about it.  Her first comment was "You won't be able to eat, blah, blah, blah".  So, I didn't discuss it with her any more.  After the first 25 or so pounds, she commented that she could see my weight loss.  Then proceeded to tell me she wore a size 20 (in her dreams!).  I was still in my 24's at the time.  Now, 57 pounds later, and wearing size 18 jeans, she has suddenly lost "almost 50 Pounds" and can squeeze into a size 16 and has gone from a size 26 (I thought it was a 20??).  She looks like she lost some weight, but then again, SHE JUST HAD A BABY!!!  No way she is squeezing into a 16, and she's not smaller than me!  I think she was trying to say "see, I can lose without surgery" to me.  I think the real reason is that twice she has called me at work to ask for one of my recipes that her husband came home and raved about (that I made).  I guess since he's said "Wow, you lost a lotta weight', that it's on now!!

So now it's a contest, huh??   She pissed me off so bad!
Thanks for letting me rant.

And I'm not voting for her baby online in the photo contest - so there!  LOL

First of all! I think its cool that you lost 57 pounds and wearing a size 18. I lost 60 pounds and still wearing a 24 and they are tight! lol so I think the coworker has the o so familar case of competition idous, I think your actions should speak louder than your words. Being fabulous is not easy! There is only one of you.

I think Nasir aka Middle Man posted something like this a while back...

Let your HATERS be your MOTIVATORS!

I had a co-worker just like that who told me in the early part of 2008 that dieting was not for her and now after I had surgery she is trying to catch up, but she has a lot of catching up to do...lol
