dreadlocdiva,

Hey Lady!

This is the same thing I have to get.  The mega dose 50,000 IU and then I have to take an extra supplement with my daily vitamins. Thank you so much!

Recently, I learned that a Vitamin D deficiency can be a result of breast cancer or cysts in the breasts. I discovered a lump in my neck and my breast so I am going to get it checked out. I haven't been taking my Vitamin D as I should. So, keep taking your Vitamin D.
Tis better to be dis-liked than to be loved by them cuz your always on their mind.

Pinkster T,

Thank you so much for your response.  I will continue to take it.  Glad you are getting the lumps checked out.  Take good care!

I hate to say this knowing my audience; but go outside, ladies.  Black people in general are susceptible to Vitamin D deficiencies and the analogs that are in supplements are really no substitute for natural sunshine and your skin.  Get 20-30 minutes of sun a day and you will be amazed at the difference.  Yes, you may get darker, I am a dark sistah but would rather get a golden tan then bleed from my eye sockets....(sorry one of my graduate thesis was Vit D analog development and yes it could happen). See y'all out on the courts!

LOL Thank you for your response.  I used to run outside all the time in the sun... but I have become a habitual eliptical user.   I will take it back outside.  Thank you for your info.

yes, I've experienced Vit D deficiencyies as well.  Had to take a prescription med of high dosage and now take a daily supplement.  Stay on top of it, you don't want to be a hunchbacked old lady.
