Thank you Michelle, I never in my wildest dreams would think I would be defending who I love....I had better stay off of these forums...
This is my first time posting here .... and it took me a while to find the forum I kept looking under all the drop down menus and my eyes caught attention to this thread and if you have seen me on other boards I am a visual person and I love posting with pics so I apologize in advance.
I am soooooooooooooooo happy for you Naomi, fret not about defending yourself you do not and should not have to defend love or the look of love ... JUST LOVE PERIOD and be HAPPY ... that is the important thing .... LOVE has no colors and no boundaries...
The first handsome idiot that I married beat me to a pulp and fathered my two children in wedlock .... took off when my son was two leaving me bloody and broken and in a crippling financial mess ... In the middle of that mess my current not so handsome but steady and a rock current husband was on the scene ... he was the one *****sponded to the cries of my children and got me to the hospital ... and just happened to be the son of one of the nurses I worked with ... I did not always appreciate him because my heart was bruised ... but he loved me unconditionally and my children too ... and I learned to love him and it has been 20 years ... last year we reaffirmed our vows and a few days ago we celebrated 20 years being together ... I thought I married a prince the first time just to realize that the prince treated me like shiat ... and the second time around despite friends telling me he is sooooooo oooooooogly I married the frog who IS my KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR who I FIND HANDSOME EVEN AFTER 20 YEARS .... HE HAS GIVEN ME ALL THE DIAMONDS A GIRL COULD WANT .... A HOME THAT I CHERISH .... AND LOVE LIKE I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED BEFORE UNCONDITIONALLY AND STEADFAST ... HE CALLS ME HIS QUEEN AND TREATS ME THUSLY AND I CALL HIM LORD BECAUSE HE EARNED IT ... we are in a battle for his health today as we try to salvage his foot from an imminent amputation ... but I did not marry his foot ... I married him and I am sticking it out through and through....
I share this with you and my brothers and sistas on this board....
This is our before and after... me fat as hell marrying my Al 20 years ago and us last year reaffirming our vows...
THIS IS ME WALKING OUT ON OUR VERY OWN LAWN IN THE HOME THAT WE BUILT TOGETHER....
and us in our very own back yard and pool and deck....
AND TAKE A LOOK AT HIS VERY SPECIAL ORTHOTIC SHOES ... HE HAS NO TOES... HE HAS A TRANSPLANTED KIDNEY ... THINGS WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH AND OVERCAME THROUGH THE YEARS AND AFTER TWENTY YEARS HE IS THE MOST HANDSOME MAN IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD TO ME ...
These are my children .... both they dates are Caucasian ... I was hoping for Black or Latino but they just happen to be who they are and it is fine with me...
and this is my beautiful Pastor....
and me and my son....it felt so good to know I was reaffirming my vows to this my second husband having lost over 200 pounds and walking in on the arms on my son who he helped me raise since he was the age of 2 .... and he calls Al - Dad even through Al is not his biological father ... it is who raised him and brought him up a fine young man...

First of all thank you for taking the time to write such a inspiring story!! By the way you look beautiful!! Thanks for your support and well wishes, I am not sure why OTHER people would care who someone marries, WE are the ones that will have to live and sleep with them.
Also beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there are MANY so called FINE men that are not attractive to me, what looks good to me may not look good to someone else...heck look at Janet Jackson, everyone thought she was just playing when she got serious with Jermain Dupree
You get my point, Janet Jackson pretty much can have the pick of the liter in men, but she chose someone that SHE LIKED, and a lot of men were stunned would I date Jermain Dupree if he was an average JOE...HECK NO he is NOT my type, but apparently he IS Janet's type he is looks good to her and that's ALL that matters...I am older and wiser, and my priorities are not solely on looks, don't get me wrong, I still care about looks to a certain degree....EDUCATION, JOB, INCOME, hygiene, TEETH and how someone treats me is way MORE important to me than how good a guy looks in his jeans,
They say MORE beautiful women GO for less attractive me because they treat the better and tend to be more loyal and don't have to worry about some woman trying to take the constantly look at Halle Berry she had TWO FINE brothas AND BOTH cheated on her one beat her, and she is extremely fine, she has found a man now that loves and cherish her and he is also white, which love has no color....so I am not sure why people have the nerve talk someone's man if they are treating them good.
