OT: When is a child too old...
I wi**** were that easy. I love my niece and I would like for her to continue in schools in our area (as it is a better system then where my sister lives). I just want to come up with a process that works or else I guess I will have no choice.
Working on me - want to be better in everyway not just physically!!! Its a process no time to judge or be judged!!!!

check with your hr....with mine therapy is separate from the regular insurance. xoxo's if you don't have it...get on line and see if there are some group programs for her....see what she is interested in doing for afterschool....you may need to find an activity to keep her occupied along with her interest...dance, karate....cheerleading...find something for her to work towards that is reasonable and she can work towards it.....i don't know if her mother is in her life....but, it is possible they need therapy together...sounds like you have inherited your neice and you love her.....talk with her when you have calm down....let her know...."look what i really want to do is put my foot so far up your behind...no no LOL but, in a sense tell her what you are capable of doing but, you have chosen to give her the choice of doing better and that I love you.....now get some act right.
i have a 16 son and i am just now getting the fruits of my labor, so when the phone call came to me on today I had to brace myself.....the school said, we want to call you to tell you how well your son is doing! I had to look at the phone and say "you sure you are calling the right parent LOL".....so im just bracing myself and wishing for the continued success he is FINALLY achieving...
anywho i can go on and on LOL sorry for the long response.

My husband's best friend spanked his daughter up till she turned 16. The 16 year old spanking was the last one she ever got because it got the point across. Why did she get spanked? Flunking classes. At first hecouldn't figure out what was going on... was she not smart? Were the classes too hard? did she need a tutor? When she flunked PE and Band he figured it out. She had never flunked PE or Band before. She was too busy socializing and chasing boys. He tore that behind up... she never gave him trouble again. She's now premed in college.
