Another Christian Question....not about sperm (ew) taste

It Is What It Is!!!

Good morning Ro and BAF!

I can ONLY speak for me and I always pray that whatever I say, touches at least ONE person's life, no matter who it is, or what God they serve.  I have friends from many religious backgrounds and it's interesting that no matter what, we are ALL serving the same God who promises to do the same thing.  Interpretation is the factor.

I am a PK (preacher's kid) and I KNOW there is a reputation that comes along with that - and yes, for the most part, what you hear is true.   However, I have been in church ALL my life.  Wouldn't have it any other way.  Am I a sinner - saved by Grace (which I KNOW was not one of your questions).  Do I still sin? Yes, I do, but NOT because I want to, but because "We have ALL sinned and come short of the Glory of God"

Have I brought anyone to Christ in my long 41 years of attending church?  Yes, I have, but NOT by baggering them, or judging them, or scaring them into going to heaven and running from hell, BUT by being a light (even if it was dim at times)...

Oops I forgot to answer your exact question:

Since I have been 'walking on this Christian journey" (you used the term "saved" we are ALL sinners "saved" by grace)  I have made a difference in the lives of MANY,  I've done this by ministering through song, and encouraging anyone who'll listen to live the best life they KNOW how to live and do something/say something positive everyday.  And also by believing that God does have something planned for their life, no matter what it looks like to the naked eye.

I just pray that JESUS will
continue to use me as a vessel to help someone along the way, every day.  And even when I don't try or feel like it, I still want the life I live to shine.  YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S WATCHING YOU and LISTENING TO YOU!!!!  Trust me, I found this out...,

Hope this answers some of your questions.  Even if a little bit...  Have a great day!
I Won't Complain!  I've had good days, I've had bad days.  All of my good days out weigh my bad days, I WON'T COMPLAIN.....  Kimberleece

I will say this some see things with a carnal mind and some see things with a spiritual mind.  If you are trying to see spiritual things with a carnal mind you will never really understand it.  Have a blessed day

i wasnt going to say anything, but i am cause this is a hot topic..

However, I know that I am a christian. But I'm not the typical scripture casting, bible throwing "christian".  There are two different types of "christians". The "religious" christians and the christians that has a "relationship" with the father.  Its about relationship NOT religion.

I can honestly say that I AM one of the "church hurt" people because i looked at  and up to the "people" in church. I had honestly made the conclusion that I was NOT going to go to another church because of how disappointed i was and hypocritical i felt that people were. BUT I come to learn that I cannot look at another's lifestyle to determine if I am saved or pleasing to God because if I do- I will FOREVER be disappointed. To tell you the truth, if i was to go by my feelings, I would feel like I'm not saved either. However, I KNOW my relationship with God. Don't nobody else know, need to know or need to see-however, they should be able to tell by the  lifestyle i live- Not by how many scriptures that i know and can recite OR downsizing or degrading someone else because they dont feel or believe like i do.

Honestly, i don't want anyone else to be looking at my lifestyle to determine which way they want to live their life because again, I know that i will disappoint them because I'm constantly fighting for my life too.

I chose not to judge anyone because I'm not WITHOUT sin!. I'm struggling daily. And people fail to realize that the love you show to a person can draw them closer to God than quoting scriptures all day.

I had a BF who did not belive in church. Never attended church especially since her mother got killed by her father and father killed himself, sister got killed by other sister's boyfriend and then she got pregnant at 16 by sister's boyfriend. - Just a tragic life. She felt like it God loved her, why did he allow so many things happen to her??  I just asked her to go to church with me once... She went and has been going since. I asked her what changed her mind, she said because of the love people showed to her. Not all churches are like that.  She appreciated that fact that I never treated her different because of that.

Blessed beyond measure!

That is what people forget.  Every Christian "all falls short of the glory of God".  We are not perfect, but we are to try to live our lives as perfect as we can.  Everyone of us is on a different level than others.  We all stumble & fall, but the important thing is we repent & continue on with our walk.

All kinds of people are in the church, saints, hypocrites & sinners and that is as it should be.  It blows my mind that people use the former as an excuse as to why they don't & won't attend church.

Now, if the church's leadership is in that number, than you definately need to be looking for a new church home.  If  your church is judging you or not showing you the love of Christ, then you again need to be looking for a new church home.

Each person shares their walk differently.  Most times, I let my light shine in the way I interact with people & sometimes the Jesus that resides in me is the closest that some people will ever get to Christ.  Children & sinners have a great discerment of who is walking the walk & who is not.  If God opens a door for me to share or minister to a person, than I do.  Because of how I live my life, I have had the oppertunity to impact a lot of people's lives, both publically & privately.

Now I don't cuss, smoke or drink, but there obvsiously are Christians that do.  Doesn't mean they're going to hell because of it.  I will say this though, if you are trying to win or minister to someone, that can be a bad witness if someone sees you acting the same as they do.  Also, a lot of us grew up in churches that taught or may still teach that these habits & many others will send you to hell.  I grew up in such a church (COGIC), os if anyone else grew up in this denomination, then you know what I'm talking about.  This is unfortunate, because doctrines like this ran people or kept people away from church & caused unnecessary church hurts  as well.

You can also be saved & not attend church, but it is important to find a church home that has a shephard that can watch over you and protect you, because a sheep without a shephard is succetable to the wolves.

& Ro you seem to have a issue with tithing.   It is a very important & valid bibilical mandate to follow.  Regardless of what the church does with the money, God has mandated us to give unto the body, so that our money will not be cursed & offerings & sowing seeds will bring addtional blessings to us.  Unsaved people even hold to this principle, I have relatives that grew up in the church, fell away, but have never failed to pay their tithes & offerings to the church, because to not adhere to this mandate messes up their money.  Even Donald Trump himself even follows this principle, which if you look at it from a spirtual standpoint, God has protected his businesses time & time again.  How many times have you heard him declaring bankruptcy, but he manages to come back from that setback better than before.

Girl, I have to do the do.  God blesses like that & I have a heart of a giver, so even though it doesn't cost me anything financially, my blessing ya'll with the info, in turn blesses me even more.

However, get down another 25-40 pounds, I'm going to be looking like a superhero in church, cause they're going to be trying to cover me up with a shawl, because i might be wearing something pg-13 to church :)

Girl I'm just waiting on the Lord to send him to me, but in the meantime, I gotta look sexy while I'm waiting.  Now, my mom, who is my former pastor & now an apostle, but still head of our church  encourages me to dress young & sexy, so why is it that my sis in law  who is one of our pastors & younger than me,  is always trying to cover me up?   Oh & our cover shawls are red, so just call me "Super Gi".

*Edited to say the over modesty thing was something that we were taught in that denomination.  I cannot speak for how it is now, but I know that some churches still hold to the old teachings...i.e. It is a "sin" if you show your legs, or your shoulders, or your bare arms or your back, went to the show, wore makeup, wore nail polish.........  So my sil who came out of the same background has a little residual issue with that.  Now that's bondage.

But I do try to watch it, it's kind of hard to minister during alter call & try not to give a peep show at the same time.
