I have not had surgery yet, but have completed all the pre-requisites such as nutrition classes, psy eval, and etc., and I am looking forward to meeting with my surgeon to decide a surgery date. The process has not been long, but the closer I get to having surgery the more nervous I become.  I am a mother of three. I have a five year old son, who just began kindergarten, and two 13 month old toddlers. I will be turning 30 next month and right now I am not in the best shape. I never knew that things would get so out of hand when it came to my weight. After giving birth to my twins I reached an all time high of 291. I remember a time when I thought 200 was a lot and now I wish I was 200lbs. I decided to have WLS because it has become hard for me to lose weight on my own.WLS seems like a pretty good tool to motivate me to lose the extra baggage.  I have been on the yo-yo diet for quite sometime now and I want that to end. I want to enjoy life without aches and pains in my body .I  want to enjoy my kids and not lack the energy I need to make it through the day.

Congrats on your decision! I am also pre-op and in the process of doing my 6 month weight loss. I am 23 yrs old and I decided to have this surgery MAINLY to have babies. Hubby and I have been trying for 2 yrs. After about a yr into my marriage I stopped having regular periods, and then I realized 'Dang I gained 30 pounds!' And I went into my marriage plus size already! I was 250 when I got married. (Thank God for a man who loves you the way you are) My husband is very supportive of me making this decision. It will be best for us, and for my overall health! So once again congrats! :)

Thanks for the comment on my lil ones. Don't wish for twins first. See how one baby is first cause two babies is out of control. My friend and I both have twins and we both are going crazy. It is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in life. You will have babies once the weight comes off. That's how I got pregnant with my twins. I had decided to lose weight with medi-fast and lost 50lbs and ended up pregnant. I also got married plus size and I am happy my husband loves me big or small.
