Is Life Really That Depressing?
This was on my heart;
What if Martin Luther King Jr would of never fought for what he believed in? What is Abraham Lincoln would of never signed the emancipation proclamation?
How would that effect society as we know it, would there even had been an Obama? Because would the copulation of his parents had been tolerated? Would we be able to hold corporate positions of power? Would we be afforded the opportunity buy high-end luxury items that we love? Would we be able acquire the same health care that the "white folk" received? Would that mean that we wouldn't of been able to have bariatric in some of the finest hospitals in the country? Would we be able to send our ; Sons, Daughters, Sisters, Brothers off to college? Would the most influential person in Media be an African American Woman? Or better yet, Would there even had been a Martin Luther King Jr.?
I said that to say this;
No matter what you do in life, if you answer phones all day at a job that you feel that is beneath you or if your the Senior Manager or VP, maybe your a stay at home and you take care of your family, or possibly your unable to work. Remember this, it took one small pivotal moment in history to write your current day future, no matter what you have or don't have in life, you have freedom!
You have the ability, just like Dr King, to impact someone else with a "small pivitol moment"! Let your actions and words, towards other individuals, be those of an individual who is thankful for the accomplishments of the freedom-writers in their past. So keep a smile on your face, be thankful, and don't forget to pass along the positive attitude that our culture has fostered for many years. Lets continue to write chapters of freedom.

Lucious,
Its not so much about ignoring the fact that life has it negatives, because we all have issues in life, no matter; social class, skin color, job status, looks, education, etc... But what we do need to do as a race is start embracing the positives. Its not hard to see the glass half full instead of seeing i half empty.
