Capitalize on your honeymoon phase. Don't waste your mastication on empty calorie foods. Remember to always chew, get your protein in first and drink plenty of water.
Vitamins are soooo important. A friend of mine had RNY five years ago. She is so deficient She hasn't taken a vitamin in several years and now she's suffering a major health crisis.

I would add that you should not overlook the medical literature out there that is published in peer-reviewed medical journals such as JAMA, etc. It can help keep you current on the efficacy and aftercare issues of each surgery type you are considering and/or had.
A good tool is www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/. This site is run by the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health and can get you abstracts of thousands of published research studies out there.
You really need to know what a commitment this is. You also need to research ALL the surgery types and not just go for rny or lapband because that's what everybody else gets. Check the revision and regrets board often. It is enlightening!
If you absolutely have to have wls to save your life do it. But, if there is any humanly possible way for you to do it and keep it off naturally, don't. It is not the easy way out. It is not glamourous. You will not be glowing 24-7 like the lady on the Realize Band Commercial. They don't show people on theose ads hugging the toilet at 3:00am hurling or ****ing 3x a day because you snuck a cookie. They also don't show a belly hanging down a foot below where your waistline is supposed to be after you lose 150 lbs.
Yes you will lose weight. Maybe you will keep it off. Maybe you'll be rid of health issues and maybe you'll develop new ones to replace those hmm??
Wls can be a great thing, but it has it's costs even in the best scenarios.
Thanks for the warning to stick to the vitamins. I am SLOOOOWly tryiung to get my regime built, but I honestly hate all of them. I feel like I am jumping out of a plane with no parachute. And I sure as hell can't fly. So, I need to take a big girl pill and swallow the damned things.
Any tips on how to gedt them to go down better would be greatly appreciated!
