Hello to all my Beautiful Sisters & Brothers - i want you to meet Sombebody
I have never posted to this Forum in the past and i'll introduce myself today. My name is Venita and i had RNY surgery on 7/28/09. I'm doing great and i love my RNY. To date, no complications.
but, i'm not here to talk about myself today, i want to introduce you all to my daughter whom i've suggested join OH to meet new friends and as a support network to learn about WLS. I've never been nasty or nagging to my daughter about her weight but i know that it's getting up there and i just want to see her get a handle on it becuase i don't want it to make her unhappy or unhealthy.
If you get a chance, would you stop by the NY Forum and check out my daughter's post - it's called NEWBIE and her username is lezaria4420. I know that once you read her post it will touch your heart as much as it did mine; and actually, i didn't even know she felt some of the things she expressed here.
I know i don't have to ask for your encouraging words because that's what OH'er do, but just in case you don't visit the NY Forum, i'm asking and bringing this message to you. She is a working professional in the Big Apple with a heart of gold and you just might make a great new friend by stopping by. Thank you!
Venita! I am glad to hear your journey is going well. I will stop by and check your daughter's post out. 
It touches me to see the love and concern that you have for your child's health. I'll checkout her post and say hello.
I'm Sonia and I'm glad you supported your daughter in this. I had the lap band, my family does not support "unnatural" wieght loss. Maybe that's why we all look like the Clump family from the Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy.
Seriously, I will check out her site and we can all support eachother as we do here like you said.
