2009 Q4 Challenge...... get out and DO something!!!!

I have an interesting (well, I think it is) challenge for all y'all.

We're about to head into the fourth and final quarter of 2009 - and I KNOW we all made promises to ourselves back in Jan and it's still up in the air if any of those resolutions will come to fruition..... HOWEVER - we got 90 days coming up to do something.

My challenge has nothing to do with diets or eating.  We're always focused on that.

My challenge has nothing to do with exercise - we stay on that ball too.

My challenge is about expanding and testing yourself socially, mentally.  What have you kept telling yourself you are GONNA do, but you NEVER get around to doing it - and it's been your 'someday Imma do THAT if I ever lose enough weight......' thing?

*ME* Indoor rock wall climbing.  I have always wanted to - always said I will.... have never 'gotten around' to it.  Before Dec 31st this year, I WILL get it done.  It's an experience I owe myself because it's something I #1 - couldn't do fat #2 - wouldn't do because it's in front of other people and #3 - it challenges my fear of heights.......

So - any of yall got anything?  What will YOU check off your list before the end of 2009?????

I'm going to have to think about something fun and constructive.  Something that will get me out of this funk and distract me from some major cluster fkcu's in my life.  Hmmmm

Oooo Oooo I know!
I was about to hit submit when I had an impulse.  I am going to go on an internet date.  I'll probably regret saying this, but past the e mail stage to a phone call and a face to face for a quick drink.  I'm so supicious of strangers I could never do this before.  I'm still suspicious but I'm  game.

Excellent post Mack!

1) By the end of 2009 I'm going to make strides at improving my confidence.  I want to go out and feel confident in my appearance and possibly date more.

2) I need to find a BSN program, scholarships and/or grants.

This may sound "strange" but I'd really love to get all 11 of my grand kids together at one  time
in one place,, that would be totally amazing for me,, quite impossible,, but I would love to see
it happen,, oh and lets not forget my one great grand also.    This is definitely a "dream" that
I would like to come true.

Great challenge Trina.  For me it consists of three things:

1) To step into my anointing with boldness.  I am beginning to lead Praise and Worship (on a very small scale now) but I need to not be concerned or feel as if I am stepping on someone else's toes, if I allow my voice to be the lead voice when leading Praise and Worship and to know that God is really preparing me for the BIG stuff coming.

2) To start walking/jogging/running while singing to strengthen my lungs and voice so that I can move around on a stage and sing with excellence and not get winded.

3) To start doing yoga.  I am not as flexible physically as I use to be.  As well as, to use it to relax my body and help manage stress.

Good goals but the manager in me is screaming.......

you haven't quantified any of these.

1 - how many times are you going to get up and do whatever with this before the end of the year?
2 - how many times a day/week/month are you gonna do this?
3 - how many times you gonna do this too?

If you don't put a # to it - the goal stays vague and unrealized.

Excellent point and yes, I did neglect to add that.  I do believe that the only difference between a goal and a dream is a time line.

These are daily goals.  Walking ( then progressing as I get stronger to jogging and running) and singing together is done daily and done in the morning (its still very hot here, mornings are much cooler ) as is yoga (nightly actually) and the leading Praise and Worship is once a week at this point, but the staying in faith, staying in prayer and stepping into the anointing part of the process is daily and ongoing and ever increasing.
