OT: Preferences - wrong or right?
You like what you like. That initial attraction keeps the species alive.
I've dated fellas that don't fit the profile, but they had something else that worked for me. Who has time to evaluate every man who does nothing for you. The sparks either there or its not. I'm not wasting time waiting for a stranger to perhaps grow on me.

I try to give everyone a chance. I don't classify people the same as food. I prefer dark skinned guys who are taller than I, however I will say I have had pleasant experiences with guys shorter than me and light skinned so for me its more the heart of a person rather than the looks.

No I truly dont believe you should give everyone a chance. At this point in life a person pretty much knows what works for them and what does not. To me the only people that would give everyone a chance are those who are desperate and have limited options in the first place. I personally would be scared for a person that gave "everyone" a chance. Hell even prositutes resevere the right to be selective( at times). As for someone like myself I know what criteria I set for a woman. It is only among that group that I would ever choose from. So I do believe that your reference to the lamb is very valid
