I finally know what full feels like!!
I started pureed foods today and had about a tbsp of mashed potatoes and a couple bites of salmon, and I honestly have to say that I finally know what my pouch feels like when its full now. It was not an uncomfortable feeling but I can imagine if I didn't take my time what it would have felt like. I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with my pouch until now. Now my question is, how do you eat every 3-4 hours when you feel full like this?
Also, I've been reading that I'm not supposed to be eating carbs? No one told me that one. Most of the items on my pureed list from the dietician is carbs, like grits, cream of wheat, apple sauce. Help me out guys, I don't want to stop loosing because I'm not eating properly. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I look forward to what you all have to say.

First of all, Congrats on making a the choice that may save your life.
Don't stuff your self, when you are full stop eating. Remember to get all of your fluids in that is very important. Your list of foods are fine for now. You want be eating enough to cause you any harm. Remember don't add "crap to them "ie sugar. This is the fun part the low calories will compel you to lose weight. Listen to your body for now.

The hotly debated carb issue (see rny board's know it alls) is a matter of preference for surgeons and nutritionists. I have a no carb for six months plan per the surgical practice while others are eating crackers in two weeks and still others are on protein shakes only for the first post op month. It will also depend on how sensitive you personally are to carbs (cravings, blood sugar flucuations, stalls, etc). Your personal response to carbs is the only one that counts.
Stick with your doctor's instructions as long as you are loosing weight and the foods agree with you. It may sound hypocritical comming from me if you have read my posts stating that I have totally ditched my nutrition plan. However, I was not loosing weight, had difficulty with foods, and had zero success with four different nutritionist in the practice. If it works for you, no need to change. If its not working and you can't get it fixed, then take action.
As for being full? Well you may be even fuller once you are no longer pureeing foods. I relied on shakes for the first five months and still use them when there is just no more room for food. It will take time before you can eat every few hours, so don't try to force it. Eat only to your comfort level, satisfied but not stuffed. Shakes can fill the calorie and nutrition gap until you are taking in enough food.
Doesn't full just feel grand?!!!
