You Need Prayer Seriously???
If God/The Higher Power/Allah/Whomever wants what's best for us, why do we have to NOT be selfish? This may come off as borderline blasphemous for some, but why can't one ask for wealth/financial success?
I mean, assuming there actually is a hell (and none of us will know until that time comes) do people of wealth, unless they are straight up evil, go there only? And if it is selfish to ask for wealth, is is selfish to ask for good health?
I honestly don't know about drawing the prayer line if you realize that what you put out there via mediatation or prayer comes back to you, be it benevolent or malevolent in nature.
"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." Plutach. Not true, for there are always more worlds to conquer.

Oh I just thought....I bet Perry prayed for riches...now that he has it, I am willing to bet that its ****** his head up even more now...can't be who he really is, and having to do better than the last film is a really hard thing to live up too...that is why I stopped asking and just started thanking, less pressure...lol and YES I am all about the easiest road taken!
I'm constantly growing and learning and I've realized that if I'm never healed from my infirmities, then it is God's will and so I use that as a witness to others. I've been able to speak to others about God through my illnesses that I never would have met, so I believe there is a purpose for this "thorn in my side".
I won't pray for the lotto even though I would like to win it but I would have to play it first. LOL I would never pray for something bad to happen to someone else. There is a Pastor of a church in Arizona that is praying for the death of Pres. Obama. (you tube it) and his followers see nothing wrong with it. That is not of God. God is love.
I believe in being specific in my prayers because the bible says, "You have not because you ask not" ( loose translation)

I like you am not religious, I like to consider myself spiritual. I have 'conversations' with my higher power, I find it soothing and find strength in prayer. I don't pray for negative things to happen to people and while yeah, I could use money I don't pray to win the lotto. I'd like to be in a committed relationship but i don't pray for a man. I pretty much pray to find the strength and will to change myself and my cir****tances for the better.
When I see others requesting prayer I hope they find the best results for the situation they are in and find peace.
(((((((((((((((Chelle))))))))))))))))))))))) see me??..that is because yo azz be ova there on R&R more (don't get me wrong I understand why...lol)
Find Peace? Kinda hard if you praying for something and your prayers don't get answered the way you want them to
I'm with Kim...pray and thank God for God's will..because I have faith that God WILL provide me with what God knows I can handle, plus some more.

I think you can find peace without getting what you are praying for specifically. Like instead of praying for a man, I pray that I become the type of woman that will attract the type of man I am looking for. I might not meet Mr right tomorrow but I'm no worse for improving myself. Instead of praying for a lottery win, I pray I learn to budget more wisely and pay down my debt.
I don't get praying for material objects either.
