Fill it with #1 Mack Mama's Salmon Croquettes!

I made them fried and I made them baked and they are off the hook.  See the Sunday dinner post from last week, 8/30 for the recipe.

Thanks Ms MM!  My pouch is very very happy.

Your stomach's is so full, your brain can't function.  That's what my mom would have told me.  I was so full, and so delerious with the joy of a pouch well fed, that I did not even think to post the link to the recipe.

Girl these are sooooo good hot or cold!  Had em again for breakfast too.  I wish I had this recipe back when my pouch was acting silly.

To bake I dipped them in bread crumbs and sprayed a heated pan with Smart Balance.  Turned them half way through spraying the pan again.  The side that's down browns crisp.   Nutrition counts are virtually the same since you use quite a bit of spray to oven fry.

I love fried foods but I was not joking when I said I avoid cooking unsupervised.  The oven can be set to shut off automatically.  I can't count how many times I've forgotten to turn off the stove or the deep fryer until I smelled the burning.  Once the flames is what got my attention.

Here are the numbers per piece for twelve 2.1 oz croquettes:

Fried                         Baked

153      calories      147
  12.4   fat  g               8.4
    9.2   carb g            9.2
    0.8   fiber g            0.8
  10.3   protein g     10.3

ETA: I'll put these on Nutrition Traker later today as

#1 Salmon Croquettes, Baked
#1 Salmon Croquettes, Fried

It depends on the mood I am in of whether I want them pan fried or baked.  I coat them with flour and spray them with Pam when I want to bake them and they actually taste fried.  That is it. I will be making me some today!
