I wasn't asking anyone to pray for me a man, It was to pray for me while I wait for my husband to find me. Pray for my strenght in the Lord, Encouragement is what I was looking for, not drama.

Ok, this is a trip and I can't believe I am even getting in to this with you all but RoRo I think your question is Valid.  Technically, yes she should just have faith that it will come.  But hell, just because you are a Christian it doesn't make you less HUMAN.  Church folk pray and ask for prayer.  what is wrong with that.

Ok. If you were a club girl you would go to a club.  If you are a church girl you PRAY.  It's not that hard to figure out.

Why is it that the OP is getting grief about asking people to pray for her she wants a mate??? Its a natural desire of her heart.  I think turning that into a discussion about church rules and regiminted ideas is coming from a different motivation.

Working on me - want to be better in everyway not just physically!!!  Its a process no time to judge or be judged!!!!

Please don't comment if you don't have anything encouraging to say.

I have been married and now divorced, but me wanting a companion does not necessarily have anything to do with my surgery. I did the surgery for me, but I would like to date. I enjoyed being married the first time, but it didn't work out. I would like to be married again. I don't think I will do this. I was looking for feed back and encouragement. But I will just keep this too myself. Thank you for reading and commenting with compassion. Be blessed.

Please read the post in detail or read it again. I didn't ask anyone to pray for me a husband. The bible says that he that finds a wife. My husband will find me, however I did welcome the opinions of other in dating since weight loss surgery. But I am not church folk, my name is Tish and God is the head of my life, but understand we who are saints are still human and share some of the same emotions as worldly, hypercritical people.

Thank you, I glad that someone understands. I went there  with the date everybody and try different things, but because God is my foundation, that flopped quickly.

Christians, just like non Christians date........this is how you get to know someone and perhaps marry them. Time together is essential in any relationship, especially one romantic in nature. The conflict is not in dating itself, the conflict, if there is one, is in HOW you conduct yourself within that relationship. Mainly when it comes to sex. The Christians desire is to live according to the understood teachings of the bible. And the bible is very clear about fornication.......so the goal of the Christian should be to have a healthy, enjoyable non sexual relationship with that S/O. Does it always work out that way? No........Does it ever YES!!!
I am not trying to get into a teaching on Christian dating, but just wanted to add my comments on the matter.

Here it is......Christians are just people who believe the teachings of the bible and of Jesus Christ. They are those who believe that salvation (eternal life)  comes through faith in the dying and ressurection of Jesus, for sin. Christians otherwise are no different from others. They have problems, they have victories......They make mistakes/bad decisions........One thing I can say that Christians have in the midst of it all......is Great PEACE!!! Even through the most turbulent storms........
Did I answer yor question?? LOL!!!
