How can he eat like this and not be morbidly obese?

Adam Richman

If I ate pre-op like Adam Richman does on that show, I would have weighed 1000 pounds.  I wonder if he purges after he eats.  I wonder what kind of damage he's done to his insides by stuffing himself to capacity over and over again.  Looking at his face when he is finishing a "challenge" it seems like he's suffering.  How much could they possibly be paying him to do that to himself every week?

Not familiar with this, but my oldest brother, Snoop....that boy can put away some food....he eats enough in ONE sitting for 5 people....then fjnishes it off with a BIG cup of water (and eats while drinking) and then crunches his ice.....

He is rail thin LOL....but due to his sickle cell (so says my moms) he doesn't gain any weight.

DJ works out so much do to sports....he doesn't gain weight either...and he eats so much, you will be angry! He will eat an entire box of cereal in one setting (eating from a mixing bowl)....and he eats 4 toasted PBJ sammiches...at one time.....and then looks around for fruit!

I focus not on my disabilty; my focus is on my ABILITIES.

Dedee, last night he ate a 12-egg omelet that was stuffed with chili, cheese and sour cream.  Not exaggerating - before they folded it up it was big enough to cover a man’s chest and abdomen.  They put it on a platter with 4 pieces of toast and a serving of hash browns that looked about 8"x 5" wide.

I don't know...  Sometimes he looks like he's doing everything he can not to puke when he finishes those challenges.

I have wondered that too.  I want to throw up for him sometimes watching how how he is stuffing himself.  I hope the gig has a good health insurance policy.

It's like watching a train wreck.

I've only watched  one or two episodes of the show.  One I saw he was eating a huge omelet made with a whole dozen of eggs.  I know I could put away some serious food pre op, but even a food lover like me can't wrap my head around stuffing yourself to the point you are in pain to get your picture on the wall in a restaurant or to get a free meal.

I have wondered the same thing watching that show.
But I wonder the same thing about competitve eaters too! Like that little Asian lady, she eats enough for 30 people and I bet she doesn't weigh 95lbs soaking wet!

Adam has actually LOST weight from last season, what u see on a 30min program may have in reality been taped several weeks apart, even from the same city....so his BINGE eating may only occur over a few days, then he's off and back home for 3-4 weeks before hes flying to the next city..............no one can eat like that everyday...I'm sure hes hurled more than a few meals after taping has stopped.
