it's my one week surgiversary lol

I have turned back into a lurker just because i've been too lazy too type.

I have lost about 25 pounds, water weight.

I've kept a mental food diary, haven't done much writing.

I had to go to Target today b/c I ran out of my ziploc bag of whey protein that my sister gave me.

I need food options, though I only have 1 more week of puree. The most interesting things I've eaten was palaak paneer (indian spinach with cheese), pureed crab with corn soup from Trader Joes, pureed chicken salad(gross).

I do have head hunger but I'm glad I can't eat much right now. It's not serious, just me missing my ex best friend FOOD! lmao

Right now I eat about 2 to 3 tablespoons but i know that will change.
I would love to go into the gym right now  but I know I have to wait until I heal. I plan to do strictly weight training.
Lastly, my surgery went very well. I was sore but that was about it. Also was chicken to remove the OnQ pain pump. didn't hurt at all. The drainage tube was uncomfortable and gross to see when it was removed.

Sorry this post is so choppy.

I am taking all required vitamins and 1 medicine pill.

Congratulations to you.  When you're cleared to exercise remember your body regularly needs a combination of strength training to build muscle and raise metabolism and cardio to strengthen the heart and lungs.  There are fun cardio workouts especially on dvd.  Its not all treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes.

Hi...

Congratulations...I am so happy to see that all went well with your surgery

I have been watching to see when you would write about your progress...you have been on my mind since the day of your surgery.  I sincerely am happy to see you go through it with flying colors.

Best of luck...I can't wait till I get to the loser's side

Are you serious you got to eat pureed food one week after surgery!! You're lucky. I've been on pure liquids for three weeks. Water, protein, crystal light, broth, and popsicles.  Talk about torture. I'm coming to the end of it, I get to eat mushy food begining Sunday and I feel like I'm actually starving not head hunger just hunger, lol. I could prob do more protein and broth but UGH I'm so sick of it.

Speaking of the ONQ pain pump, the nurses never turned mine on so at home two days and it was still a hard ball, i just took it out, like whatever.

So how did those foods make you feel and naseau? I'm a little paranoid I'm going to start with Scrambled eggs on Sunday morning and see how that goes, then on to bigger and better things, lol. thanks for the post. I guess i needed to vent.

Love, Jen
